  • Patent number: 5409407
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved electric connector which is designed to be integrally connected to an electric machine or apparatus, assuring the good electric connection to the input terminals of an electric machine or apparatus. Each terminal of the electric connector has a slit in its tail, the main slit-defining edges being used to make an electric connection with each input terminal of the electric machine or apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5380970
Abstract: An ON/OFF push button switch is disclosed which includes a housing, a fixed contact fixedly mounted on the housing, and a movable contact adapted to be brought into and out of contact with the fixed contact. An operating portion of the disclosed switch is supported in the housing in which the movable contact is to be movable in a direction towards the fixed contact. A contact connect spring located between the housing and the movable contact is provided to urge the movable contact towards the fixed contact. A contact release spring is located between the housing and the operating portion to urge the operating portion away from the fixed contact with an urging force greater than that of the contact connect spring. A coupling arrangement is provided for releasably coupling the movable contact and the operating portion together with the movable contact being inhibited from being moved away from the operating portion towards the fixed contact.

  • Patent number: 5309743
Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide a door unlocking device adapted unlock a door by transmitting a signal in the air through a signal transmitter, which can unlock the door even when the power source of the signal transmitter, namely, the battery has consumed up. With a door unlocking device, upon insertion of an ignition key into the rotor of a key cylinder, a shutter is opened to operate a shutter switch. Under this condition, the rotor is turned in opposite directions from the neutral position according to a predetermined rotor turning pattern. The rotor turning pattern is discriminated by a rotor-turning-pattern discriminating circuit. Ensuring that the rotor turning pattern is the one predetermined for unlocking the door, the rotor-turning-pattern discriminating circuit activates an electric operating mechanism to cause a lock mechanism to unlock the door.

  • Patent number: 5307658
Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide a key cylinder device which is simple in structure and is able to positively detect the presence or absence of the key. In a key cylinder device, a key cylinder body incorporates a rotor having a key inserting inlet, and a shutter made of a magnetic material is swingably mounted in the rotor to open and close the key inserting inlet, the shutter being urged by a spring to close the key inserting inlet. When the shutter is held closed, the magnetic force of a permanent magnet acts on a normally closed lead switch to hold the switch open. When the shutter is swung open by the key being inserted into the key inserting inlet, it covers the permanent magnet, thus interrupting the action of the magnetic force of the permanent magnet on the lead switch. As a result, the reed switch closes.

  • Patent number: 5165621
Abstract: A reductive seat belt retractor for an automotive seat belt arrangement has a belt spool rotatably supported on a housing by a spool shaft which is rotatable with the belt spool in belt extracting and retracting directions. The spool shaft rigidly mounts a first gear for co-rotation therewith. A plurality of second gears are associated with the first gear for transmitting rotational torque therebetween. An internal gear is associated with the first and/or second gears for transmitting rotational torque therebetween, the internal gear being provided greater gear ratio versus the first gear. A ratchet wheel defining a spring receptacle chamber and a locking member associated with the ratchet wheel are provided for establishing and releasing locking of the ratchet wheel for preventing the ratchet wheel from rotating at least in the belt retracting direction.

  • Patent number: 5055073
Abstract: An improved anti-bend pin spacer is disclosed for use in a multi-pin connector which includes a male plug having pins terminals fixed in its housing, and a female receptacle having pin holes and contact terminals fixed in its housing. The pin spacer is an insert molded part which is insert molded about free ends of the pin terminals simultaneously with the insert molding of substantial lengths of the pin terminals in the housing of the male plug.

  • Patent number: 4560115
Abstract: An emergency lock safety belt retractor is designed to facilitate release from an inadvertent lock-up which may occur after full-speed retraction of the seat belt. This undesired lock-up is due to a latch mechanism which locks a belt spool in response to either excessively abrupt onset of extraction, such as may occur in front-end automotive accidents, or excessively abrupt cessation of retraction. This latch mechanism has two separate latches: a simple latch pawl biased away from its latched position and a more complicated lock wheel. The latch pawl is mounted on a rotary drum and in its latched position engages teeth on a stationary drum. The lock wheel is coupled for rotation with the belt spool but is free to move axially through three regimes. The lock wheel is biased toward a first axial regime in which it couples the rotary drum to the belt spool.
