  • Publication number: 20090220055
Abstract: A mammography apparatus is equipped with a radiation source housing unit for housing a radiation source, which irradiates an examinee with radiation, a radiographic image capturing base that detects radiation having passed through the examinee to acquire radiation image information, and a compression plate, which compresses and retains a region to be imaged of the examinee with respect to the image capturing base. Pad members are adhered detachably onto at least a front surface portion of an image capturing base, a front surface portion of a compression plate, and a face guard surface. The pad members have a buffering property for absorbing shocks to the examinee, and a radiation shielding property for suppressing irradiation of X-rays with respect to the examinee.

  • Patent number: 4857961
Abstract: An image forming apparatus for fixing an image on a dye-fixing element in accordance with image information in a photosensitive element is provided which comprises a storage for storing a dye-fixing element, another storage for storing a support, and means for bonding the dye-fixing element to the support. The apparatus operates to take the dye-fixing element and the support out of their storages and to feed them to the bond means where the dye-fixing element is bonded to the support. The dye-fixing element usually has an adhesive layer of a self-adhesive or hot-melt adhesive composition.

  • Patent number: 4786931
Abstract: Disclosed is an image recording apparatus which allows an image to be formed on an image receiving material by transferring an image recorded on a heat-developable light-sensitive material thereto in the presence of an image forming solvent. The rotational speed of a roller for coating the solvent onto the light-sensitive material or the image receiving material is controlled in the vicinity of the backward end of the light-sensitive material or image receiving material at a predetermined value or below. In consequence, suitable control of the amount of solvent to be applied is enabled.

  • Patent number: 4665303
Abstract: A thermal developing apparatus develops thermally a photosensitive material having an electrically conductive, heat-generating layer. The apparatus is provided with a heat-insulating cover which is disposed in contact with or close to the surface of the photosensitive material when supplied with electric current, whereby the generation of convection of air at the upper side of the photosenstive material is prevented, and the occurrence of uneven development is eliminated. When the heat-insulating cover is disposed at a distance away from the surface of the photosensitive material, if this distance is less than a predetermined value, no convection of air takes place and, hence, there is no risk of uneven development occurring.

  • Patent number: 4629876
Abstract: A photographic film having a bar code formed in the vicinity of one side edge thereof is longitudinally moved while being guided by a mount. An optical fiber bundle which moves while following one widthwise end surface of the photographic film reads the bar code on the film. The optical fiber bundle follows any change in width of the photographic film and therefore constantly coincides with the bar code to effect correct reading thereof.

  • Patent number: 4352198
Abstract: An X-ray photography cassette incorporating an automatic peeler for removing the film from the cassette. The cassette includes a frame and a front plate mounted on the frame and with a rear cover coupled to the frame through hinges. Intensifying screens are positioned adjacent the front and rear cover. A peeling member is elastically coupled to one of the frame or rear cover and extending into a recess or cut-out portion formed in the intensifying screen. A space is provided between the peeling member and the other intensifying screen for receiving the film.
