  • Patent number: 9977239
Abstract: A presentation controller in a control device captures an image of a driver using an onboard camera of an occupant state detection section, and acquires a state of the driver that is detected in the captured image and represents the posture of the driver, and the position of part of the body of the driver. The presentation controller then uses road-vehicle inter-communication to acquire, as an event, information from a detector of an event detection section indicating a danger in front of the vehicle, and detects a presentation direction for the event. The presentation controller then controls a device of a presentation section so as to move a marker that is assistance information along a direction from the vehicle toward the driver, as information perceivable by the occupant. The presentation controller then notifies the event to the ears of the driver.

  • Patent number: 7482915
Abstract: A center panel is closer to a viewer in the viewing direction than a speedometer A is and overlapped with the speedometer. The center panel includes an attachment portion extending from a rear side of the center panel towards a dial plate of the speedometer. The center panel is fixed to a printed circuit board of the speedometer via the attachment portion. Accordingly, when a combination meter is viewed, the attachment portion is concealed rearward of the center panel to be invisible. The center panel looks floating separately from the speedometer towards a viewer, which provides a combination meter having excellent visibility and aesthetic cosmetic appearance. Thus, a vehicular display device having excellent visibility and aesthetic cosmetic appearance can be provided by improving a method for supporting a displaying unit on a pointer instrument.

  • Patent number: 6741058
Abstract: A drive unit for calibrating an indicator/meter of a vehicle is provided in which a pointer in an indicator for a vehicle can point immediately after an ignition switch is turned ON, and the frequency of seeing motion of the pointer in an initializing operation by a car driver is reduced. A sensing mechanism (8a-3) is provided to sense an open/close operation of a door. Correspondingly to the sensing of the sensing mechanism (8a-3), a drive-start mechanism (8a-4) starts rotation of a stepping motor using a drive mechanism (8a-1) for initialization. The drive mechanism (8a-1) during initialization rotates the stepping motor to move a driven member toward a stopper.

  • Patent number: 5642626
Abstract: The invention is directed to a control circuit for a vehicle air conditioning system which includes a compressor and a plurality of vents. A plurality of mode switches are provided for shifting the vents in accordance with a plurality of control modes including a defroster mode. When one of the mode switches is turned on, the rest of them are turned off. Each mode switch has a first switching section and a second switching section. A third switching section is formed by contacts which are provided at the "off" side of one of the first and second switching sections in the rest of the mode switches, and which are connected in series. With the first, second and third switching sections operated, are connected or disconnected a defroster circuit, a compressor circuit, a first indicator circuit for indicating a condition of the compressor being activated, and a second indicator circuit for indicating a defroster mode.
