  • Patent number: 10449786
Abstract: An image forming system includes a transport section that includes a support surface supporting a sheet-like medium and transports the medium while supporting the medium on the support surface, a first pressure generating section that generates pressure used to suck the medium supported on the support surface, and an image forming section that forms an image on the medium transported by the transport section. First suction holes that communicate with the first pressure generating section, first protrusions, and sealed portions that are disposed at positions where end portions of the medium in the medium width direction are supported and restrict inflow of air to regions, in which the first suction holes are arranged, from the outside of the end portions of the medium in the medium width direction are arranged on the support surface in a medium support region where the medium can be supported.

  • Publication number: 20190283470
Abstract: A transportation device includes a transportation mechanism that, in a state in which a front end portion of a sheet is gripped, transports the sheet, a first guide that is arranged along a transportation path where the sheet is transported by the transportation mechanism, and that contacts a non-image surface of the sheet, a blowing device that presses the sheet that is being transported by the transportation mechanism against the first guide, and an attraction transportation portion that is arranged on a downstream side in a transportation direction of the sheet with respect to the first guide, that attracts the non-image surface of the sheet that is being transported in a state in which the sheet is pressed against the first guide, and that transports with the transportation mechanism the sheet in a state in which the non-image surface is attracted.

  • Patent number: 9883069
Abstract: There are provided an image reading device and a printing apparatus that can reduce an influence of the shadows of suction holes. Suction holes, which are used to suck a sheet, are arranged on the peripheral surface of a drum that transports the sheet. The suction holes are arranged in grooves that are formed along a direction orthogonal to a transport direction. Accordingly, since an influence of the shadows of the suction holes can be reduced even in a case in which density unevenness is inspected on the basis of a read image, the false detection of density unevenness can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 9682570
Abstract: A liquid supply device and an image recording apparatus that do not cause the tearing of a diaphragm even if abnormal pressure is generated. The objective is solved by a liquid supply device that includes a back-pressure tank and a restriction member. The back-pressure tank is provided between an ink jet head and a pump, and includes a liquid chamber that communicates with an ink passage through a flow port, a gas chamber in which gas is stored, and an elastic diaphragm that isolates the liquid chamber from the gas chamber. The restriction member is disposed on an extension surface of the flow port of an inner wall surface of the liquid chamber, and keeps the elastic diaphragm on the inside of the extension surface in a case in which the elastic diaphragm is sucked into the flow port by pressure that is applied to ink by the pump.
