  • Patent number: 6388684
Abstract: An image displaying method and apparatus for simultaneously displaying an enlargement target of an entire original image and its enlarged image on a display screen by automatically disposing the enlarged image. The image displaying apparatus includes display for displaying an enlarged image of part of the entire original image including characters, patterns, etc. in a relation superposed on the entire original image, input apparatus for pointing to specify the enlargement target in the entire original image, and automatic disposing apparatus for preferentially specifying and computing the values of the area of the enlargement target region, the area of the enlarged image display region and the enlargement ratio so as to maximize one of these values and disposing the enlarged image on the basis of the result of computation.

  • Patent number: 5642626
Abstract: The invention is directed to a control circuit for a vehicle air conditioning system which includes a compressor and a plurality of vents. A plurality of mode switches are provided for shifting the vents in accordance with a plurality of control modes including a defroster mode. When one of the mode switches is turned on, the rest of them are turned off. Each mode switch has a first switching section and a second switching section. A third switching section is formed by contacts which are provided at the "off" side of one of the first and second switching sections in the rest of the mode switches, and which are connected in series. With the first, second and third switching sections operated, are connected or disconnected a defroster circuit, a compressor circuit, a first indicator circuit for indicating a condition of the compressor being activated, and a second indicator circuit for indicating a defroster mode.

  • Patent number: 5172102
Abstract: In the case where a map is used as a figure upon vertical scrolling for enlarging or reducing a map having a predetermined accuracy, a map having a higher accuracy as well as a map having a less amount of graphic data are subjected to vertical scrolling so that the map having a lower accuracy or the less amount of data is displayed superposing on the map having the higher accuracy. Upon vertical scrolling, the speed of vertical scrolling is improved in such a manner that the brightness of one of the maps which is gradually reduced is decreased to an extent in which a positional relation of the one map with the other map which is gradually enlarged is not unrecognizable to an operator and the one map displayed with a predetermined size is erased from a display device when the brightness of the one map is decreased to zero. Even in the case where the above-mentioned vertical scrolling and horizontal scrolling are used in combination, the scrolling is made with an improved speed.

  • Patent number: 4836016
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine having a sensor which generates a pulse signal, a time period is measured during which the engine rotational speed is larger than a reference speed, and the time period is reset at every rise or fall of the pulse signal. As a result, when the measured time period is larger than a predetermined time period, an abnormal state signal is generated, thereby detecting an abnormal state of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 4777618
Abstract: The invention provides an arrangement for time correlating a computer's internal information with its input and output signals. The internal information is stored in a storage device along with time data indicative of the time at which the internal information was read. This time data is used to correlate the internal information, when read from storage, with the input and output signals. The invention also provides a more general arrangement for producing logic signals. Data for producing logic signals are stored in a memory. This data includes a transition time and a corresponding logic level after the transition. Logic signals are generated and "forced" to the logic level called for by the data read from memory. This allows logic signals to be produced from little data. This general scheme is applied to an arrangement for recording and reproducing digital and analogue signals.

  • Patent number: 4024039
Abstract: A method for coloring aluminum and aluminum alloys comprising passing an alternating current from the article of aluminum or aluminum alloys having an oxidized film thereon through an aqueous solution of one or more salts of one or more metals of Group VIII of the periodic table, and thereafter passing a direct current through an aqueous solution of electrolyte utilizing the aluminum material as the anode wherein said solution may have a conductivity of more than 10 .mu..OMEGA..sup.-.sup.1 cm.sup.-.sup.1, be the same as the one used when employing the alternating current or contain a water-soluble resin. The electrolyte is free of added acid.
