  • Publication number: 20150178234
Abstract: Methods of using a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) device in a virtual environment are disclosed. Two operating systems operate on a primary device. One operating system acts as a guest in a virtual environment within the primary device. A peripheral device is coupled to the primary device through a wireless connection. In an exemplary embodiment, the wireless connection is a PCIe bridge. The host operating system interfaces directly with the memory elements and hardware of the primary device. The guest operating system interoperates with the memory elements and hardware of the peripheral device. The use of the PCIe wireless link allows the guest operating system to interface with the elements of the peripheral device with relatively little latency.

  • Publication number: 20140359731
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for establishing communications sessions over multiple network protocols using a stored key. The key may be generated by a user credential entered at a first network station and may be stored in a profile in a memory of the first network station and used for authenticating with a second network station to establish a communications session with the second network station over a first network protocol. The key may then be retrieved from the profile for use in authenticating with the second network station and establishing a communications session with the second network station over a second network protocol.

  • Publication number: 20140269763
Abstract: Systems and methods for switching between communicating according to a first network protocol and a second network protocol are provided. The provided systems and methods multiplex received communications according to the first and second network protocols and select one of the network protocols based on a quality or throughput of the network protocol without terminating any existing sessions established according to either of the first or second network protocols.

  • Patent number: 8537799
Abstract: Wireless radio devices that communicate in close proximity to each other typically suffer from interference. Such interference between collocated wireless radio devices can lead to degradation in performance of one or both of the wireless radio devices. Functionality can be implemented to coordinate communications of collocated WLAN and WWAN devices to minimize interference between the WLAN device and the WWAN device. The WWAN device can determine a WWAN communication time interval associated with the WWAN device for performing WWAN communication operations and a WLAN communication time interval associated with the WLAN device for performing WLAN communication operations. In response to determining that the WWAN communication time interval is in progress, WWAN communication operations can be performed at the WWAN device. In response to determining that the WWAN communication time interval is not in progress, the WWAN device can delay performing the WWAN communication operations.
