  • Publication number: 20230320562
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for estimating adequacy of a capsule endoscopy (CE) procedure includes: accessing a plurality of images of at least a portion of a gastrointestinal tract (GIT) captured by a CE imaging device during a CE procedure; accessing a plurality of characteristic measures associated with the plurality of images; determining an adequacy measure for the CE procedure based on the plurality of characteristic measures, where the adequacy measure provides a measure of whether an imaging coverage provided by the plurality of images was adequate to capture an event of interest in the at least the portion of the GIT, whether or not such an event of interest actually exists in the at least the portion of the GIT; and displaying an adequacy indication for the CE procedure based on the adequacy measure.

  • Publication number: 20230134603
Abstract: A system for selecting images of an event indicator includes a processor and a memory storing instructions which, when executed, cause the system to: access images of a portion of a gastrointestinal tract captured by a capsule endoscopy device; for each of the images, access one or more scores indicating a presence of an event indicator; select seed images from among the images based on the one or more scores; deduplicate the seed images for images showing the same occurrence of the event indicator, where the deduplicating utilizes a consecutive-image tracker; and present the deduplicated seed images in a graphical user interface to display potential occurrences of the event indicator.

  • Patent number: 9972069
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for evaluation of cardiac images, wherein enhanced evaluation of myocardial mechanical function is possible. The system and methods include methods for segmentation of cardiac images obtained via cMRI or other imaging modalities, wherein the segmentation allows for fusion of these images with images obtained from a different modality such as echocardiogram and/or LE-MRI. The fused images may then be used to provide a diagnosis or a recommendation for a procedure, such as implantation of a cardiac pacemaker. Moreover, follow-up evaluation may be done using only one imaging modality, such as echocardiogram, for example. The system and methods disclosed herein further provide additional post-processing, such as computation of mid-myocardial strain, which can further be useful in diagnosis and planning.
