  • Publication number: 20100058370
Abstract: A disc device includes. a sub-shaft; a sub-shaft support for supporting the sub-shaft; a holder body for holding an optical pickup; and a pair of engagement slide portions disposed in the holder body in a manner that the sub-shaft slide surfaces are opposed to each other. The cross section of the sub-shaft is provided in a shape other than a perfect circle with a maximum external diameter larger than the slide-surface distance and the sub-shaft is rotatably supported by the sub-shaft support.

  • Publication number: 20090235287
Abstract: A disc unit includes a push arm for providing a predetermined clearance between a periphery of a large-diameter disc and a guide lever used for guiding insertion and ejection of the large-diameter disc. The clearance is formed by moving the guide lever toward a left wall when the large-diameter disc is clamped on a turntable. With this arrangement, when the large-diameter disc is mounted on the turntable, the rotation of the large-diameter disc is not hindered.

  • Publication number: 20090133043
Abstract: A disc unit includes: a slide stopper adapted to switch a state of the unit between an initial state, a guide-restricted state and a movement-unrestricted state by sliding in right or left direction; and a first plate spring and a second plate spring for biasing the slide stopper in the guide-restricted state or the movement-unrestricted state in a direction to return to an initial position. With this arrangement, the slide stopper can be constantly returned to the initial position unless in the guide-restricted state and the movement-restricted state. Thus, with a simplified arrangement, the disc unit can be switched between the initial state, the guide-restricted state and the movement-unrestricted state.

  • Patent number: 7370341
Abstract: A disk driving apparatus includes a base chassis which mounts thereon a spindle motor to rotatably drive a disk, and a pickup device to at least record information on or reproduce information from the disk rotated by the spindle motor while moving in a radial direction of the disk. Preferably, the base chassis includes a plurality of dynamic vibration absorbers each having an elastic member fixed to the base chassis and a dynamic vibration absorption pendulum plate supported by the chassis through the elastic member, and the plurality of dynamic vibration absorbers have different resonance frequencies each other within a frequency range of vibration of the base chassis which is generated in a utilized rotation speed range of the spindle motor.

  • Patent number: 7260821
Abstract: A disk driving apparatus includes a base chassis supported in a cabinet through an elastic body, and equipped with a spindle motor to rotate and drive a disk and a pickup moving radially with respect to the disk rotated by the spindle motor. Preferably, the base chassis is provided with a dynamic vibration absorber including an elastic body fixed to the base chassis, and a pendulum plate supported in the base chassis through the elastic body, and the pendulum plate is displaced by external force applied to the cabinet and makes contact with the cabinet ahead of the base chassis.
