The load object is determined as an adult at least when the load is greater than or equal to a first threshold and determined as other than an adult at least when the load is less than a second threshold that is less than the first threshold. A function is further provided of determining the load object from a combination of a magnitude relation between the load and a third threshold less than or equal to the first threshold and greater than the second threshold and the inclination of the vehicle.

    Abstract: An engine is provided with an output shaft and a motor generator connection shaft of a crankshaft at ends of a crank case and adapted such that the output shaft can be connected with an external driven apparatus. A motor generator has stators relatively fixed to the crank case and a rotor coupled with the motor generator connection shaft and rotating relative to the stators. An external apparatus connection shaft is connected with the rotor and disposed at an end of the motor generator on the opposite side of the engine. A clutch is disposed between the motor generator connection shaft and the rotor. A power storage unit stores electric power generated by the motor generator and supplies the electric power to the motor generator. A controller switches between an electric power generation function and a motor function, and engages and disengages the clutch.

    Abstract: An inside case made of rubber is mounted in an outside case, a substrate integrally provided with an engine stop switch circuit and a switch electrode of an engine stop switch unit is assembled in the inside case, and its lower side is filled with curable insulating base material to be sealed. Further, a switch contact opposed to the switch electrode is formed of pressure sensitive conductive rubber, and a reversal spring is further interposed on the pressure sensitive conductive rubber. As a result, wirings are eliminated, a decrease in the size of the entire apparatus and simplification can be realized, and a metal contact is eliminated to improve durability.

A sensing unit senses the lack of the working fluid and produces a detection signal. A warning element, connected to the magneto, receives a power supply to give a warning indicating the lack of the working fluid. A controller is responsive to the detection signal from the sensing unit for actuating the warning element to provide the warning without deteriorating a performance of the ignition unit.

The device includes a trigger responsive to the engine-stop signal for flowing a forward current from magneto to a ground when the magneto produces a positive value of the a.c. voltage and a backward current for a predetermined period of time from the ground to the magneto when the magneto produces a negative value of the a.c. voltage, an engine-stop section responsive to the backward current for flowing a short-circuit current from ground to the magneto to disoperate the ignition coil, so as to stop the engine.

    Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for warning of the abnormality of an engine including a magneto generating an a.c. voltage and an ignition coil which includes a first signal generation section for generating a first signal including an electric quantity corresponding to the insulation resistance of lubricating oil, a temperature detecting section for producing temperature signal, a reference signal generation section for generating a reference signal in response to the temperature signal, an oil-shortage judging section for comparing the first signal and the reference signal to determine that the engine has a shortage of oil when the first signal is larger than the reference signal and generating a shortage signal, a control section for performing a short-circuit of a primary side of the ignition coil to produce a short-circuit current in response to the shortage signal and an oil-shortage display section for displaying the warning of the shortage of oil in response to the short-circuit current.
