Abstract: A multidirectional input device of the present disclosure includes a case, a movable body that is mounted on the case so as to be movable in a plurality of directions with a predetermined neutral position as a base point, a first position detector that outputs a first signal in response to a position of the movable body, a second position detector that outputs a second signal when the movable body is located at the neutral position, and a controller that detects a moving direction of the movable body by the first signal. The controller corrects a threshold value for determination for detecting the moving direction in response to the first signal and the second signal.

Abstract: A first calculator calculates a first index value quantitatively indicating an imaging failure state for each imaging menu using a first calculation formula having a variable based on the number of times of occurrence of imaging failure for each imaging menu and a variable based on the rate of occurrence of imaging failure for each imaging menu. A first extractor automatically extracts a target menu as an imaging menu to be considered to prevent occurrence of imaging failure based on the first index value. A second extractor extracts a consideration image as a failed image associated with the target menu. A screen output controller generates a conference screen for displaying the target menu and the consideration image. A client terminal displays the conference screen on a display panel.

Abstract: A method for registering an electronic key to a controller of a communication subject includes locating an electronic key ID of a registered electronic key, which is registered to a first controller that was previously installed in the communication subject, based on a communication subject ID unique to the communication subject, and reregistering the registered electronic key to a second controller installed in the communication subject in lieu of the first controller by storing the electronic key ID of the registered electronic key and an encryption code corresponding to the electronic key ID in the second controller.

Abstract: A console device of a portable type for retrieving a radiation image created by a radiographic imaging device is provided. A registration unit registers plural user menu options for retrieving the radiation image. A radiation image retrieving unit retrieves the radiation image respectively according to the registered user menu options. A display controller is operated while the radiation image retrieved according to a current user menu option among the user menu options is displayed on a display unit, for display processing to display a part of the user menu options inclusive of a succeeding user menu option for retrieving at least a further radiation image among the user menu options. Preferably, the succeeding user menu option is displayed inside an image display area of the radiation image. Also, the display controller further performs display processing to display the current user menu option.

Abstract: A console device of a portable type is combined with a radiographic imaging device, and retrieves a radiation image from the radiographic imaging device. A registration unit selectively registers plural user menu options for retrieving the radiation image. A radiation image retrieving unit retrieves the radiation image according to a registered one of the user menu options. A display controller, after displaying the radiation image retrieved according to a current user menu option on a display unit among the user menu options, performs display processing of a succeeding user menu option for retrieving a succeeding radiation image in an overlapped manner with the displayed radiation image. Preferably, a pass-through area is formed in the radiation image by directly receiving the radiation without passing through an object. The display controller performs display processing of the current or succeeding user menu option inside the pass-through area.

Abstract: A console device of a portable type for veterinary use for acquiring a radiation image of an animal body is provided. A display controller outputs a user page for displaying a first user menu structure for acquiring the radiation image and a second user menu structure for acquiring an optical image of the animal body in a list form, the radiation image acquired by use of the first user menu structure, and the optical image acquired by use of the second user menu structure, to control a display unit to display the user page. The display controller processes the user page to display the first user menu structure in an at least partially overlapped manner with the radiation image, and to display the second user menu structure without overlap with a feature portion in the optical image where at least the animal body is recognizable.

An interval extraction section extracts the intervals in each of which the frequency of appearance becomes local maximal value. A score calculation section calculates scores of the extracted intervals. The score indicates visibility of color to human based on human color sense. An interval selection section selects one or more extracted interval to be representative color, based on the calculated scores. A representative color extraction section generates the representative colors based on tone levels of the selected intervals.

A request from a mobile telephone is applied to a virtual server via the Internet, a distribution server and a virtual bridge device. The request is applied to the virtual bridge device from the virtual server, and the virtual bridge device appends a VLAN tag indicating that the request is a request for a company A. The request is input to a data center router. The router determines from the VLAN tag that the request is a request for company A and transmits the request to a LAN for company A. Thus the request is reliably applied to the LAN for company A, which is the access destination.

Abstract: When a document image creation server receives a browsing request of a document, a conversion section starts to create document images. A 1st page of the document images which is created first is sent to a mobile phone to be browsed. When the document image creation server receives a change request of the browsing page, a prediction section predicts a browsing order of the document images based on the change request. When a browsing request of a part corresponding to Nth page of the document images is received, the prediction section predicts that the document images are sequentially browsed starting from the part corresponding to the Nth page. A conversion section converts the document, on a predetermined unit basis, into the document images in the predicted browsing order. The document image of the requested browsing page is sent to and browsed with the mobile phone.

Abstract: At the time when information stored in a server is browsed with the use of a mobile terminal, if the mobile phone is predicted to enter an out-of-service area, information that a user is going to browse is predicted and temporarily stored in the mobile terminal as cache. When the mobile phone is located in a service area at the time of a browse request, information corresponding to the request is acquired from the server, and when the mobile phone is located in an out-of-service area, the information is acquired from the information stored as cache and is displayed. The information stored as cache is deleted when the browsing is ended or when the mobile terminal enters a service area. Therefore, the user can browse desired information even in the out-of-service area with and high security level secured.

Abstract: A play list producing apparatus retrieves words related to a query from a thesaurus database, and selects one of the related words based on the respective degrees of relevancy of the related words to the query. Music data files having such metadata that correspond to the selected related word are retrieved from a music database. The retrieved music data files are evaluated about suitability for the play list. Based on the evaluation result, a music data file is selected and registered on the play list. Then, metadata attached to the just registered music data file is served as a query for retrieving the next music data file to be registered on the play list. These processes are repeated to register music data files one after another on the play list insofar as the produced play list satisfies conditions designated by the user.

An dominant color extractor extracts an dominant color as attribute of the first image. A tag extractor extracts a tag or descriptor as meta information associated with the dominant color. A retriever retrieves a second image having the extracted tag or descriptor among the plural images. Furthermore, a display panel displays the second image. Also, a search refining selector selects image among plural sets of the second image to be output according to degree of relevancy of the second image with the first image. The relevancy for evaluation is relevancy of the dominant color.

Abstract: In a printing system, a ROM stores map data that includes place data indicating names and locations of a variety of landmarks. Image data of each image includes position data indicating a camera location, at which the image is captured. When an image is chosen from thumbnail images on a display screen, a CPU searches the map data based on the position data of the chosen image. When a plural number of landmarks are retrieved for the chosen image, the CPU checks their relation of inclusion, and displays the names of the retrieved landmarks in such a sequence that one including a greater number of landmarks comes before. A printer section prints the chosen image and the names of the retrieved landmarks on a printing sheet, wherein the landmark names are printed in the displayed sequence at a designated position on a designated side of the printing sheet.
