    Abstract: The present invention provides a rolling bearing which is excellent in high-temperatures and high-speed durability and quietness, is capable of effectively preventing hydrogen brittleness-caused peeling from occurring on a rolling surface thereof, and has a low environmental load. A rolling bearing (1) is constructed of an inner ring (2) having a rolling surface on its peripheral surface, an outer ring (3) having a rolling surface on its inner peripheral surface, a plurality of rolling elements (4) disposed between both rolling surfaces, and a cage (5) retaining the rolling elements (4). The inner ring (2), the outer ring (3), the rolling elements (4) or the cage (5) is a metal-made bearing member. Film-coating treatment is conducted on a sliding surface or a rolling surface of at least one of these metal-made bearing members with the plant-derived polyvalent alcohol compounds such as curcumin, quercetin, chlorogenic acid or the like.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a grease composition or a lubricating oil composition which is capable of effectively preventing hydrogen brittleness-caused peeling from occurring on a rolling surface of a rolling bearing, is excellent in durability in a high temperature and speed operation, and can be used for a long time. A grease-packed bearing (1) has an inner ring (2), an outer ring (3), and a plurality of rolling elements (4). A sealing member (6) for sealing a grease composition (7) is provided at openings (8a) and (8b) disposed at both axial ends of the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (3). The grease composition (7) includes a base grease composed of a base oil and a thickener and an additive added to the base grease. The additive contains at least one compound selected from among plant-derived polyphenolic compounds and compounds formed by decomposition thereof.

    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a rolling bearing in which efficacy provided by an auxiliary agent for grease can be maintained for a long time to extend its life and a seal for the rolling bearing. A rolling bearing (1) has an inner ring (2); an outer ring (3); a plurality of rolling elements (4) interposed between the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (3); a retainer (5) retaining the rolling elements (4); and a seal (6) provided at an open portion, of the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (3), which is disposed at both axial ends thereof. The rolling bearing (1) is lubricated with a grease (8) enclosed in a space, inside the bearing, which is constructed of the inner ring (2), the outer ring (3), the retainer (5), and the seal (6). A mixture (7) of an auxiliary agent for the grease and a resin is fixed to a surface, of the seal (6) (one of the members constructing the space inside the bearing), which is disposed at a side of the space inside the bearing.
