  • Patent number: 8823236
Abstract: An object is to provide a rotating electric machine offering a high output and high efficiency by balancing inductance of each phase even if a stator is used in which stator windings of different phases are disposed in a slot of a stator core in a three-phase winding. A stator 5 includes a stator core 6 having a plurality of slots arrayed circumferentially and opening to an inner peripheral surface and a stator winding 7 wound in each of the slots. The stator winding 7 is divided into at least two for each phase (7U-A, 7U-B, 7V-A, 7V-B, 7W-A, 7W-B). After insertion of the stator core 6, the stator winding of each phase is connected in parallel or in series. The stator winding of each phase is disposed in slots such that combined inductance of different phases is equalized.

  • Patent number: 8294309
Abstract: A direction in which cooling air generated by a cooling fan flows to be discharged is perpendicular or nearly perpendicular to a direction in which diffusers are inclined. Thus, airflow resistance is increased by the diffusers, and the cooling air cannot be efficiently discharged from discharge ports provided circumferentially in an outer peripheral portion of a housing. Further, a stator coil cannot be sufficiently cooled.

  • Publication number: 20090179510
Abstract: A rotating electrical machine main body 40 includes a rotor 4 having a fan, a stator 1, and housings 2, 3. An inverter unit 30 includes a case 14 and a plurality of switching semiconductor devices 15. The rotating electrical machine main body 40 and the inverter unit 30 are coupled with each other when the case 14 is connected to the housing 3. A cooling air circulated by rotation of a fan 12a cools the inverter unit 30 before flowing into the housing. Part of the case 14 is disposed between the rotating electrical machine main body 40 and the switching semiconductor devices 15, preventing thermal radiation radiated (or irradiated) from the rotating electrical machine main body 40 from reaching the switching semiconductor devices 15.

  • Publication number: 20060202582
Abstract: A synchronous motor with low vibrations and an electric driving system using the motor. A field-coil synchronous motor comprises a stator and a rotor rotatably supported at the inner peripheral side of the stator with a gap left relative to the stator. The stator has a stator coil supplied with electric power while being controlled such that driving torque is reduced as a rotation speed of the rotor increases, and the rotor has a field coil supplied with a field current while being controlled such that the field current is reduced as the rotation speed of the rotor increases. The rotor is a tandem claw-pole rotor comprising plural pairs of N- and S-claw poles disposed side by side in an axial direction, and the plural pairs of claw poles of said tandem claw-pole rotor are relatively shifted from each other in a circumferential direction.
