Abstract: A positioning device includes a receiving unit that receives a first satellite signal in a first frequency band and a second satellite signal in a second frequency band transmitted from a first satellite, a positioning unit, a determination unit that compares a value of a predetermined parameter based on the first satellite signal with a value of the predetermined parameter based on the second satellite signal, and determines whether the first satellite is a genuine satellite, and a control unit that controls the positioning unit not to perform positioning using the first satellite signal and the second satellite signal when the determination unit determines that the first satellite is not a genuine satellite.
