Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for improved collection of resource information of an access network. The method includes obtaining line information about a line that a subscriber terminal in an access network accesses and resource information about at least a part of the line when an internet protocol (IP) is assigned to the subscriber terminal, transmitting the line information and the resource information from the access network, and creating a database containing the line information and the resource information. Thereby system load is reduced and efficiency of resource allocation is enhanced.

Abstract: Provided is a method and system for providing a QoS in a broadband convergence network deploying a mobile IP. In the method, a service and policy is defined at a first network design stage for guaranteeing the QoS of the broadband convergence network. QoS parameters corresponding to the defined service and policy are reflected in a DSCP field corresponding to the defined service. The DSCP field and the QoS parameters are applied to an access router in a management network. Accordingly, the QoS can be guaranteed to be suitable for the service and policy and a seamless handover guaranteeing the QoS can be provided.

Abstract: A method and system for processing billing of including QoS information are provided. In the method, a call is initiated by transmitting/receiving packets directly to/from an opponent terminal after signaling with the opponent terminal using a session initiation protocol through the signaling server. Then, QoS of the call is measured while communicating with the opponent terminal. A billing process is performed of including the QoS measuring result by transmitting the QoS measuring result to the signaling server after the call established to the opponent terminal is terminated.
