Abstract: A steering wheel lock device comprises a key rotor, a cam shaft, a lock member which is reciprocated between a locking position to lock a steering wheel and unlocking position to unlock the steering wheel in association with rotation of the lock cam, a regulating lever for preventing the turning of the key rotor from the unlocking position to the locking position, an operating member for allowing rotation of the key rotor from unlocking position to the locking position, and holding means which, when the operating member is moved from an original position thereof to a predetermined position, holds the operating member at the predetermined position.The steering wheel lock device also includes a slide piece for causing the operating member to return from the predetermined position to the original position against the holding means.
