  • Publication number: 20210286110
Abstract: In a display device according to the present disclosure, a reflective film surrounding a display region reflects the light from outside from a lower surface side of an element substrate in the same manner as a metal electrode layer of a light emitting display portion covering the display region. Due to reflection occurring in the same manner on an inner side and an outer side of a contour of the display region, the contour of the display region is unlikely to be visually recognized.

  • Patent number: 9662633
Abstract: The invention relates to a desiccant suitable for being used with an organic EL element having a solid sealing structure. The desiccant is provided for suppressing any effect on an organic layer, and guaranteeing flowability while being filled. An organic EL element has a container, which includes an element substrate on which a laminate of a pair of electrodes and an organic layer located between the pair of electrodes is disposed, a sealing substrate spaced apart from the element substrate, a sealing agent disposed between the element substrate and the sealing substrate thereby hermetically sealing the container, and the desiccant disposed inside the container. In this configuration, the container is filled with the desiccant, and the laminate is thus surrounded by the desiccant. The desiccant is obtained by mixing a water-trapping agent with silicone.

  • Patent number: 9656240
Abstract: The present invention provides a water-trapping agent disposed inside a hermetically sealed container. The water-trapping agent comprises an organometallic compound as represented by Formula 1 as a drying agent component, and is obtained by a process comprising mixing the organometallic compound with organic solvent, and at least partially substituting the organic solvent with viscous replacement material: wherein R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl group, alkoxy group, alkenyl group, aryl group, cycloalkyl group, heterocyclic group and acyl group, M is a trivalent metal atom, and n is an integer of 1 or above.

  • Publication number: 20080083702
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an electron emitting device includes disposing a cathode substrate and an anode substrate to be faced to each other in a depressurized atmosphere containing an activation gas, the cathode substrate including a carbon layer formed by applying a paste having a fibrous carbon and carbon impurities on a cathode conductor and drying the coated paste. The method further includes applying a reverse bias voltage to the cathode conductor of the cathode substrate and an anode conductor of the anode substrate, thereby activating the carbon layer.

  • Patent number: 7239073
Abstract: A carbon substance comprises a structure and line-shaped bodies, the structure having a size ranging from about 1 ?m to about 100 ?m and including carbon and a metal or a metallic oxide, and the line-shaped bodies having diameters smaller than about 200 nm and including carbon as a main component thereof and growing radially from a surface of the structure. A method for manufacturing the carbon substance uses a thermal decomposition of a source gas containing carbon in the vicinity of a catalyst, wherein the catalyst comprises a first and a second materials, the first material being Ni or a Ni oxide and the second material being In or an In oxide; and the thermal decomposition is performed at a temperature ranging from about 675° C. to about 750° C. An electron emission element uses the carbon substance as an electron emission material. A composite material includes the carbon substance in its matrix.
