  • Patent number: 6886087
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device reliably protects data written once into a non-volatile memory and exhibits high EEPROM data security functionality. The device has a user memory area to which a user can write freely chosen data, and a write-information storage memory area for storing information indicating whether or not data has been written into the user memory area. A control logic circuit analyzes whether to execute a write command from a user and outputs a write-prohibition signal if data is already written into the user memory area. The control logic circuit may include a password authentication circuit for authenticating a user-inputted password by comparing it with a password maintained inside the control logic circuit. The frequency of a changeable clock may be used to perform password authentication.

  • Publication number: 20040202514
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of making quality, homogenous mixtures such as concrete without premixing the separate ingredients. In the example of concrete, the ingredients of cement, gravel, sand and water are metered and delivered to the use point separately using separate delivery means such as separate pneumatic hoses. The flow or delivery rate of each ingredient is measured and separately controlled, and the outputs of the individual delivery means meet at the common use point simultaneously where the concrete is to be laid down. The ratio of the ingredients may be adjusted to tailor the mix for particular applications. The ingredients meet and mix for the first time at the use point, and no premixing is performed.

  • Patent number: 6550198
Abstract: A wall construction comprises block members or sections stacked vertically about five high and abutting horizontally to form a wall. Each block member or section comprises a top plate, bottom plate and two side studs. The block members are attached side by side by fastening plates on the top and bottom which overlap adjacent blocks, including one top fastening plate which overlaps the top plates of two adjacent blocks, and a bottom plate which overlaps the bottom plates of two adjacent blocks. The vertical components may be 2×4 dimensional wood pieces on the order of 15-20″ long, and the horizontal components about 30-40″ long. Steel studs may be used instead of wood pieces, and horizontal components may be up to eight feet long.

  • Patent number: 5793674
Abstract: An EEPROM capable of arbitrarily setting a write time includes a timer circuit connected to a trimming circuit for determining a write time, and a trimming redundant memory array used for storing trimming data to be supplied to the trimming circuit in accordance with a predetermined write time so that the write time can be arbitrarily set. A series of calibration operations are performed such that the trimming data is read from the trimming redundant memory and supplied to the trimming circuit and the timer circuit is controlled so as to set the write time to a desired value. The latter operation is carried out in parallel to a normal write operation. Accordingly, neither special instructions nor an additional time period are required to perform the calibration operation, and a stable operation can be achieved in less time.

  • Patent number: 5542225
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anchoring system and method for installing exterior material including lath and mortar to a building structure particularly suited for when the exterior materials are to be placed at a distance from the building structure. The anchoring system utilizes a separator rod having two ends wherein one end is threadingly attached to a nut joint with the other rod end extending from the nut joint. Building paper, insulation and lath may be placed on the building structure, and then a nut joint may be installed, with the other rod end being inserted into an anchoring device anchored to the building structure. The anchoring device has a speed nut which accepts the extending end of the separator rod, allowing the rod to advance into the anchoring device but which inhibits movement of the separator rod out of and away from the anchoring device in a rachet fashion.

  • Patent number: 5181504
Abstract: A miniaturized inexpensive vibration generator using rotary bodies having unbalanced weights with no absolute encoders provided on the rotary body driving means. Rotary bodies having unbalanced weights are disposed in an opposed state. Members to be detected are fixed to the rotary bodies so that the members to be detected have a predetermined positional relation with the relative weights and rotation detectors are provided fixedly in the positions close to the loci of the rotational movements of the members to be detected, and adapted to output signals representative of what are detected thereby in the form of pulses each of which is generated every time each of the members to be detected passes the relative rotation detector, i.e., every time each member to be detected is revolved 360.degree., a phase difference computing element computes a phase difference between the unbalanced weights on the basis of the signals from the rotation detectors.
