  • Publication number: 20100096909
Abstract: A vehicle wheel includes: a disk and a rim having a well portion and fixed to the disk for supporting a tire for the vehicle; and an additional air chamber member secured to an outer circumferential surface of the well portion in a tire air chamber defined between the rim and the tire. The additional air chamber includes a communication pipe with a communication through hole therein for communication between the additional air chamber and the tire air chamber. The additional air chamber has a peak in a radial direction of the vehicle wheel. A radius D2 of rotation of the vehicle wheel at the tip of the communication through hole is equal to or greater than a radius D1 of rotation of the vehicle at the peak of the additional air chamber.

  • Publication number: 20100090520
Abstract: A vehicle wheel which includes an additional air chamber member forming an additional air chamber in a tire air chamber. The additional air chamber member is fixed on an outer circumferential surface of a well portion of a rim. The additional air chamber member is provided with a communication hole communicating between the additional air chamber and the tire air chamber. The communication hole is disposed at a position shifted from a discharge port of an air valve for supplying air in the tire air chamber in a wheel circumferential direction and opened to the tire air chamber.

  • Patent number: 7690410
Abstract: A vehicle wheel in which an additional air chamber member in a tire air chamber is fixed on an outer circumferential surface of a well portion, includes: a first vertical wall surface rising outward in a radial direction from the outer circumferential surface of the well portion and extending in a circumferential direction of the outer circumferential surface; and a second vertical wall surface formed in the well portion facing the first vertical wall surface. The additional air chamber member has an additional air chamber and a communication hole formed therein. The communication hole provides communication between the additional air chamber and the tire air chamber. The additional air chamber member is fitted between the first and second vertical wall surfaces. Side end portions of the additional air chamber member in a width direction of the vehicle wheel are secured between the first and second vertical wall surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20090108666
Abstract: A sub air chamber provided around outer circumferential surface of a well of a rim of a vehicle wheel includes an upper plate and a lower plate connected at edges thereof which are fitted into channels in first and second vertical wall surfaces formed on the rim. At least one of the upper plate and the bottom plate has orthogonally and diagonally aligned beads to vertical walls, extending in a circumferential direction of the wheel, supporting the sub air chamber, connecting parts locally connecting the upper plate and the bottom plate. The sub air chamber has a protruding part for communicating the sub air chamber with the tire air chamber and serves as a stopper of the sub air chamber.

  • Publication number: 20090072611
Abstract: A wheel body includes a wheel body including a disk and a rim fixed to an outer circumference of the disk for supporting a tire for the vehicle; an air pressure sensor unit for detecting a pressure in an air chamber in the tire with transmitter; a sub air chamber member on the rim, having a for reducing a magnitude of a resonance sound generated by an air column defined by the air chamber defined by the rim and the tire. The air pressure sensor unit and the sub air chamber member are disposed in a circumferential direction of the wheel so as to cancel out one unbalance mass distribution of the vehicle wheel in the circumferential direction of the wheel caused by disposing the air pressure sensor by another unbalance mass distribution of the wheel in the circumferential direction caused by disposing sub air chamber member.

  • Patent number: 7226635
Abstract: A method for coating a sealant (39) on a separator (40) for a fuel cell. The separator has a sealing groove (118) formed therein, and widths of the sealing groove at a coating-start portion (39a) and a coating-end portion (39b) of the sealant are made greater than widths of remaining portions of the sealing groove. The sealant coating-start portion and the coating-end portion are made to intersect at a place where the width of the sealing groove is large. Adhesion between the coating-start portion and the coating-end portion is improved, and also, degrees of freedom of a sealant coated position increase, and sealability of a cell for a fuel cell is improved.

  • Publication number: 20050019649
Abstract: A fuel cell electrode is proposed which has a positive electrode layer (20), a negative electrode layer (19) and an ion exchange film (21) interposed between these. Before a solution for making one of the other of positive and negative electrodes has dried, a solution for making the ion exchange film is applied to it, and then a solution for making the other electrode is applied while the solution for making the ion exchange film is not yet dry. Because the layers are not dry, the intimacy of the layers improves. By the ion exchange film being made a solution, the applied film can be made thin.
