  • Publication number: 20020014281
Abstract: A maraging steel is subjected to the aging to have a hardness of more than 500 Hv. A nitrided case is formed to have a depth that is about 20% to 50% to a ½ thickness of the maraging steel plate. An endless ring for a metal belt is constructed by the above maraging steel. According to methods of manufacturing the maraging steel and the endless ring, the nitrided case having the depth that is 20% to 50% of a distance from a plate surface to a center can be formed by executing an aging to have the hardness of more than 500 Hv, then executing a nitriding in the nitrogen atmosphere to which organic chloride is added.

  • Publication number: 20010037800
Abstract: Disclosed is a motor-operated flow control valve for internal combustion engines which has a longer useful life and does not cause a drop of torque generated by a motor at the start-up. A rotor shaft (9) is reciprocated with rotating motion of a motor (32), whereupon a valve head (2a) is moved to open and close an orifice for control of a flow rate. Specific frequency of a rotor unit (33) of the motor (32) is set to be higher than the secondary vibration frequency of rotation of a 4-cycle internal combustion engine. The rotor unit (33) comprises an integral magnet (25), a single ball bearing (27) and a resin-made magnet holder (26) for supporting these two members, the magnet, the ball bearing and the magnet holder being formed into an integral structure. The rotor unit is supported such that an outer race (27c) of the ball bearing (27) is held at its one end against an inner peripheral wall of a housing resin (14) and a preload is applied to the other end of the outer race (27c).

  • Patent number: 6151425
Abstract: There is disclosed a resolution conversion apparatus for converting an original digital image into a digital image having a different number of pixels in accordance with an instructed conversion magnification factor. In the apparatus, a determination circuit determines the number of pixels to be interpolated in each block of the original image and positions where they are interpolated in accordance with the conversion magnification factor. The block includes a predetermined number of pixels of the original image. A converted image generation circuit generates pixel data for the interpolation pixels at the positions where they are interpolated in accordance with a predetermined interpolation equation whose coefficients are determined with the positions and data values of the pixels in the block, and combines the pixel data for the digital original image and the generated pixel data to output a converted digital image. The interpolation equation includes spline functions and Bezier functions.

  • Patent number: 5633671
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a heat generating element which is driven to generate heat and thereby effect image recording on a recording medium. In the apparatus, a reference voltage for driving the heat generating element is set, and a driving voltage based on the reference voltage is output. A signal is detected which corresponds to an amount of electric power supplied to the heat generating element during image recording. A control unit controls the outputting of the driving voltage based on the amount of electric power, and adjusts the energy to be applied to the heat generating element.

  • Patent number: 5533819
Abstract: A thermal recording device suitable for use in an electronic typewriter for printing characters on a printing paper by means of an ink sheet. The device has a thermal recording head adapted to be pressed onto the printing paper through the ink sheet so as to print the characters on the printing paper. The ink sheet is adapted to be fed by a reversible winding device. The recording device further has a first detector for detecting the length of the ink sheet fed by the feeding device in a period between a moment at which the feeding is commenced and a moment at which the thermal recording head reaches the first image recording position, and a second detector for detecting the length of the ink sheet fed by the feeding device in a period between a moment at which the thermal recording head leaves the final image recording position and a moment at which the thermal recording head is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4758117
Abstract: The invention provides an efficient method for controlling the flow rate of a particulate material through a pneumatic transportation pipe at a preset value with a high accuracy and rapid response to an external disturbance added to the system by controlling the flow rate of the booster gas. Different from conventional methods in which the flow rate of the booster gas is controlled with the feedforward factor of the variation in the actual flow rate of the particulate material, the inventive method utilizes the variation in the pressure in the receiving unit as the feedback to control the flow rate of the booster gas so that the above mentioned advantages are obtained in the accuracy of control and rapidness of the response to an external disturbance.
