    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an assembled battery that includes a plurality of battery modules and unit cells. The unit cells of each battery module are electrically connected through a plurality of collars placed around a shaft member that secures the battery modules. The shaft member may also electrically connect the unit cells in some embodiments. In other embodiments, axial force from the securing shaft member deforms the collars to create the electrical connections. Alternative embodiments include engagement members secure the battery modules in order to eliminate the need for axial force from a shaft member to complete the assembled battery.
