Abstract: A vehicle traveling control system is comprised of a following controller and a lane-keeping controller. The following controller controls an inter-vehicle distance between a host vehicle and a following object ahead of the host vehicle by controlling a vehicle speed on the basis of a detected inter-vehicle distance. The lane-keeping controller controls a steering control of the host vehicle so as to locate the host vehicle within a lane traveled by the host vehicle. A control condition of one of the following control and the steering control is changed according to the control condition of the other of the following control and the steering control.

Abstract: An automatic lane following system for a vehicle is adapted to control the direction of a moving vehicle along a predetermined path. An associated controller estimates the vehicle's lateral position in relation to the lane markings (usually the white painted lines). An optical sub-system or a video camera or equivalent sensor is mounted on a vehicle and used to detect the lane markings. An actuator coupled to the steering mechanism is used to control the steering position of the front road wheels in response to a steering signal from a controller. An interruption switch is closed to enable the steering system actuator. An interruption switch actuator is displaceable between a rest or stored position in which the interruption switch is open and an operable position in which the interruption switch is closed.

Abstract: A vehicle display device including an information display unit for displaying prescribed information for a vehicle, an alarm need state detection unit for detecting a prescribed state where an alarm for the vehicle is needed, an alarm display unit for performing an alarm display on the basis of the detection of the alarm need state detection unit, an eye-fixed target detection unit for detecting an object on which a driver fixes his eyes as an eye-fixed target, a display cancel unit for canceling the eye-fixed target or its neighboring information display, and a delay unit for controlling the alarm display unit to perform the alarm display after a predetermined time lapse from the display cancellation of the display cancel unit.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel divinyl compounds represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## and a recording-material prepared by utilizing the divinyl compounds. The divinyl compound is in itself almost colorless, extremely stable in the atmosphere and develops rapidly blackish color by a developer. The color image given by the divinyl compound is excellent in light-resistance and moisture-resistance and the letters developed can be read by an optical letter-reading apparatus or a barcord reading apparatus.

Abstract: A tubular ceramic body has formed thereon inner and outer electrodes each comprising a nickel layer in direct contact with the ceramic body and a solder layer overlying the nickel layer. Of tin-lead composition, the solder layer is intended to make leads or the like readily solderable to the electrodes. According to the manufacturing process of the capacitor, the nickel layer is formed by electroless plating, and the solder layer by electroplating.
