Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method and an apparatus that are used for extended reality (XR) technologies. In a data transmission method disclosed herein, different parts of to-be-transmitted data are segmented into different code blocks (CBs), to mitigate impact of a transmission failure of one part of the to-be-transmitted data on another part of the to-be-transmitted data, thereby improving overall user experience in data reception. In this way, transmissions of low priority data and high priority data may be separated to avoid performance degradation caused by the low priority data on the high-priority data.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and an apparatus, to help improve transmission efficiency of an uplink XR service. The method includes: A terminal device sends, to a core network device, a first identifier indicating a transmission requirement. Then, the terminal device obtains, based on a first parameter sent by the core network device, a quality of service flow that meets the transmission requirement, and sends a plurality of pieces of first information to an access network device based on the quality of service flow. Each piece of first information includes a second identifier. The second identifier includes marking information of a data unit to which the first information belongs. This method helps a plurality of pieces of first information that belong to a same data unit be considered as a whole for transmission, to improve the transmission efficiency of the uplink XR service.

Abstract: In an uplink transmission method for extended reality (XR) services, user equipment (UE) notifies a base station that a data flow of a current service has an uplink integrity transmission requirement. The base station maps a QoS flow having the uplink integrity transmission requirement to a corresponding radio bearer, and notifies the UE of the corresponding radio bearer through a signaling configuration. The UE then reports, through a MAC CE, a data amount of the service flow having the integrity transmission requirement.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a configuration method and apparatus. The method may include: receiving a first cycle from a core network element and a second cycle from a terminal, where the first cycle is an initial service cycle or a first traffic shaping service cycle, and the second cycle is a service cycle expected by the terminal; configuring a discontinuous reception DRX cycle for the terminal based on the first cycle and the second cycle; and obtaining first information, and sending sleep indication information to the terminal based on the first information. In this application, an access network device obtains cycle information of a service and the first information, to configure the DRX cycle that can match the service and the sleep indication information that can enable the terminal to enter a sleep state in time.

Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method and an apparatus, which provide integrity transmission for extended reality data transmission. In the method, integrity transmission is performed on data or information having a synchronization requirement or having a dependency relationship, to satisfy the requirement of synchronization between the data or information, thereby improving user experience of XR services.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a scheduling transmission method and an apparatus. The method includes: obtaining a scheduling priority of a terminal, and transmitting a data packet of the terminal based on the scheduling priority of the terminal, where the scheduling priority of the terminal is determined based on importance of a data unit to which the data packet of the terminal belongs and a size level of the data unit to which the data packet of the terminal belongs. Solutions of this disclosure may be widely used in the fields of communication technologies, artificial intelligence, internet of vehicles, internet of smart home, and the like.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a scheduling transmission method and an apparatus. According to the method, a scheduling priority of a terminal is determined based on an instantaneous rate of the terminal and a service type of a first service of the terminal, and the first service is transmitted with the terminal based on the scheduling priority of the terminal. The instantaneous rate of the terminal is positively correlated with the scheduling priority of the terminal, and a target video frame correct ratio of the first service is greater than a first threshold.
