  • Patent number: 11805456
Abstract: A UE may decode a radio-resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message comprising a conditional handover (CHO) configuration (CHO-Config) which may identify a CHO configuration for at least one target candidate cell. The CHO configuration may include two or more CHO triggering events for an entry condition. The UE may monitor measurement quantities of the target candidate cell for the entry condition to determine if any of the CHO triggering events are met, start a first count-down timer when the entry condition of a first of the CHO triggering events is met and start a second count-down timer when the entry condition of a second of the CHO triggering events is met. The UE may apply the CHO configuration to the target candidate cell when both of the two CHO triggering events remain fulfilled upon expiration of the both timers.

  • Patent number: 11792641
Abstract: Systems and methods of providing UE capability are described. A capability ID is associated with the same Radio Capability information for multiple UEs. If the capability ID is validated at a network node, the UE provides the capability ID to a RAN node, which obtains the capability information from the network node after providing the received capability ID to the RAN node. The capability ID is received in an RRC Setup Complete, Security Mode Complete or Reconfiguration Complete message. The network node, if the Radio Capability information is not available, requests and receives the Radio Capability information and associates it with the capability ID, and marks that the capability ID as not validated until a threshold number of the UEs have provided the same Radio Capability information. The capability ID is based on a UE device type, manufacturer and software version.

  • Patent number: 11785480
Abstract: Systems and methods of supporting RACH optimization and monitoring of UP packet delay performance are described. During RACH optimization, a NF provisioning MnS with modify MOIAttributes operation to configure targets for RACH optimization and a NF provisioning MnS with modifyMOIAttributes operation are separately consumed to enable a RACH optimization function for a NR cell. After this, a performance assurance MnS with notifyFileReady or reportStreamData operation is consumed to collect RACH optimization-related measurements for the NR cell and RACH performance data of the RACH optimization-related measurements analyzed to evaluate RACH optimization performance for the NR cell. During monitoring of UP packet delay performance, raw performance measurements related to UP packet delay based on at least one of NG-RAN measurement results or time stamps in GTP packets are obtained from a NG-RAN or UPF, UP packet delay performance measurements are generated.

  • Patent number: 11770752
Abstract: Systems and methods of reducing control plane latency in a 5G IAB network are described. SRs transmitted between nodes indicate that a control plane PDU is to be transmitted. The SRs use periodic resources or OCCs reserved for control plane signaling and are initiated by an RRC message or RACH from the UE. The SRs are initiated if the LCD field in the MAC sub header of the RRC message indicates the CCCH or the DCCH logical channel. If the PDU is available after the original resource, a resource is used that is provided via another grant, which is periodically provided or automatically initiated due to failure to transmit on the original grant. The SR or RRC message can also specify a delayed timeslot for the grant. For contention-based procedures the RACH preamble is randomly selected or selected from among a set of RACH preambles assigned for RRC procedures.

  • Patent number: 11765729
Abstract: Technology for dual connectivity is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can identify a first physical channel that includes a first uplink control information (UCI) and a second physical channel that includes a second UCI. The UE can select a priority level for the first physical channel and a priority level for the second physical channel. The UE can apply power scaling to a first physical channel transmission or a second physical channel transmission if a total transmit power of the UE would exceed a specific value during a period of time. The UE can scale a transmit power for the second physical channel if the priority level for the first physical channel is higher than the priority level for the second physical channel depending on a type of first UCI and a type of second UCI.

  • Publication number: 20230224918
Abstract: In some implementations, a method of wireless communications between a wireless communications network and wireless user equipment includes receiving, using a primary Time Division Duplex (TDD) configuration, data on a primary component carrier in a first frequency band. Using a secondary TDD configuration, data on a secondary component carrier is received in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. A Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) for data received on the secondary component carrier is transmitted using a supplemental TDD configuration. A transmission or retransmission on the secondary component carrier uses a supplemental TDD configuration as well. The supplemental TDD configuration is different from the secondary TDD configuration. Furthermore, an uplink supplemental configuration may be different from a downlink supplemental configuration.
