Abstract: An apparatus and a method for supporting an HARQ scheme in a wireless communication system are provided. In a method for operating a base station, whether a resource used for a system of a different standard and a resource used for one of an HARQ reply and an HARQ retransmission packet by a synchronous HARQ scheme collide with each other is estimated. A collision packet ID is allocated to an HARQ subburst corresponding to one of an HARQ reply and an HARQ retransmission packet estimated to collide, and an offset of the one of the HARQ reply and the HARQ retransmission packet is changed. A MAP message including at least one of the collision packet ID, and changed offset information is generated. The MAP message is transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20110116480
Abstract: When a subscriber station (SS) encounters interference caused an interfering base station (BS), the interference can be mitigated regardless of whether the interfering base station is a CSG-Closed BS or whether the SS is connected to a serving BS. If the SS is not connected to a serving BS and cannot access the interfering BS, the SS will signal the interfering BS directly to request the interfering BS to perform IM. If the SS is a legal user, and conditions to initiate IM are met, the interfering BS will perform IM until conditions to terminate IM are met. If the SS is connected to a serving BS, the serving BS will request the interfering BS to perform or terminate interference mitigation (IM) on behalf of the SS if certain conditions are satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20060153144
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for estimating a channel using a pilot signal in a wireless communication system based on multi-carrier multiple access. A transmission side generates a pilot symbol correlated with spread data symbols which is included in a spread symbol generated through a band spreading, inserts the pilot symbol into the spread symbol, and transmits the spread symbol. A reception side receives the spread symbol and detects the pilot signal by using the spread data symbols and pilot symbol included in the spread symbol. Therefore, it is possible to simultaneously obtain both the position optimization of a pilot symbol, according to a channel state such as a correlation band or correlation time (which is an advantage over the pilot-tone-based channel estimation method), and a noise reduction effect by the averaging procedure (which is an advantage over the pilot-channel-based channel estimation method), so that the accuracy of channel estimation can be improved.

Abstract: A channel estimation method in a wireless communication system based on multicarrier-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) using frequency interleaving. A transmitter generates transmission symbols using a pilot signal (P) and an inverted pilot signal (?P) according to subcarriers on which spread symbols generated from a spectrum spreading operation are sent, performs an interleaving operation for the transmission symbols in a frequency domain, and transmits a result of the interleaving operation. A receiver extracts the pilot signal (P) and inverted pilot signal (?P) included in the transmission symbols and performs channel estimation.
