  • Publication number: 20160004728
Abstract: In an enterprise where a database maintains multiple accounts for business customers, a method, system, and computer program product correctly links accounts which are associated with a common business. Business identification information from one or more external data sources is obtained and the format of the business identification data is standardized. Data records of business accounts are compared according to a plurality of rules for matching one business account to another. When two business accounts are found to match according to the business matching rules, a common identifier is applied to both business accounts to flag the two accounts as being associated with the same business entity. One or more hierarchy rules are applied to accounts associated with a common business, to establish a hierarchy among the accounts for purposes of marketing and other business communications.

  • Patent number: 8959370
Abstract: The invention concerns scheduling an application comprised of precedence constrained parallel tasks on a high-performance computer system. The computer system has a plurality of processors each enabled to operate on different voltage supply levels. First, a priority order for the tasks based on the computation and communication costs of the tasks is determined. Next, the based on the priority order of the tasks, assigning each task both a processor and a voltage level that substantially minimizes energy consumption and completion time for performing that task when compared to energy consumption and completion time for performing that task on different combinations of processor and voltage level. It is an advantage of the invention that the scheduling takes account not only completion time (makespan), but also energy consumption. Aspects of the invention include a method, software, a scheduling module of a computer and a schedule.

  • Patent number: 8156127
Abstract: A method, system, and machine-readable medium for transforming raw data into business intelligent data that provides a reliable, consistent value and other associated data for the data element is provided. The method includes determining a most frequently occurring value of the data element from a plurality of regulated data sources, determining a value from a highly ranked regulated data source based on a ranking of a plurality of regulated data sources, and determining a value from a highly ranked non-regulated data source based on a ranking of said plurality of non-regulated data sources. The method further arbitrates from among the determined values and stores information regarding the consistency and origin of the arbitrated value.
