Publication number: 20240074704Abstract: The present it relates to a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system and provides a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system, which is manufactured with a sensor module assembled inside an applicator, thereby minimizing additional work by a user for attaching the sensor module to the body and allowing the sensor module to be attached to the body simply by operating the applicator, and thus can be used more conveniently. A battery is built in the sensor module and a separate transmitter is connected to the sensor module so as to receive power supply from the sensor module and be continuously used semi-permanently, thereby making the assembly economical. The sensor module and the applicator are used as disposables, thereby allowing accurate and safe use and convenient maintenance.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Kyung Chul CHAE, Hyun Ho CHOI, Goang Yel RYU, Ji Hoon WANG, Young Jea KANG

Publication number: 20230146600Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for detecting a foreign object on a wireless power charging region are described. A circuit can detect an object inductively coupled to a wireless power transmitter. The circuit can further measure an input parameter prior to a power transfer stage, the input parameter can be one of an input current and an input power. The circuit can further compare the measured input parameter with a predetermined value. The circuit can further determine whether the object is a foreign object or the wireless power receiver based on a result of the comparison between the measured input parameter with the predetermined value.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2022Publication date: May 11, 2023Applicant: Renesas Electronics America Inc.Inventors: Chan Young Jeong, Tao Qi, Young Chul Ryu, Kwangmuk Choi, Pooja Agrawal, Krishal Jaswantsinh Solanki, Adnan Dzebic

Patent number: 9179523Abstract: A controller, which may be a controller for solid-state lighting, includes a transformer, and a control circuit having a bias voltage input. The control circuit activates when voltage applied to the bias voltage input reaches a threshold. The transformer has a feedback output to the bias voltage input. The controller also has a bias voltage circuit including a resonant circuit providing a resonant current, and a bias capacitor charged by the resonant current, applying start-up bias voltage to the bias voltage input. The controller further has a cutoff to shut down the resonant current when the transformer feedback output is above the threshold. A method of operating the a controller includes providing a resonant current to charge a start-up bias capacitor. The method also includes automatically cutting off the resonant current when the transformer feedback output is above the threshold. This may be determined by monitoring the bias voltage input.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2014Date of Patent: November 3, 2015Assignee: Marvell International Ltd.Inventors: Young Chul Ryu, Jinho Choi, Wanfeng Zhang, Chang Qian

Patent number: 7391629Abstract: Disclosed is an SMPS for preventing abnormal overcurrents. A circuit having a short circuit delay is used to generate a control signal for turning off a main switch (i.e., a switching MOS transistor) when the overcurrent occurs, that is, in an initial startup or when a protection circuit is operated. Accordingly, a drain-source voltage of the main switch is reduced when the main switch is turned off, and a switching MOS transistor with a low withstanding voltage can be used.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2005Date of Patent: June 24, 2008Assignee: Fairchild Korea Semiconductor, Ltd.Inventors: Young-Chul Ryu, Jin-Ho Choi
