Abstract: Disclosed herein are a catalyst for hydrocracking reaction of high molecular weight components in bio-oil, a method for preparing the same and a method for bio-oil upgrading using the same. The catalyst includes a zeolite carrier; and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of nickel (Ni), ruthenium (Ru) and cerium (Ce) supported on the carrier. The catalyst promotes the hydrocracking of high molecular weight compounds contained in the bio-oil, but also inhibits the polymerization reaction of the decomposed product, thereby more effectively enhancing the hydrocracking reaction of the bio-oil.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for correcting color in a portable image projector in consideration of an effect of a background color when the portable image projector projects images. The method corrects the effect of the background color to be projected, using color constancy technique, and thereby represents high-quality image which can be projected on a white screen. The method includes the steps of determining if a background color exists on a projection screen using a portable camera, converting the size of a mask image in order to connect a spatial position of an original image and an image photographed by a camera, correcting brightness of the mask image in order to correct non-homogeneity of the brightness of the projected image due to the distribution of different brightness values of the background color, and correcting the background color in order to correct color distortion of the image projected in different colors on the background color.

Abstract: A method for compensating an image produced by image means for implementing image information takes account of ambient illumination. Luminance of external background illumination around the image means is measured. The measured luminance of the background illumination is compared with preset tristimulus values and a reflectance factor of the image means, a comparison result is computed, and a control signal is generated to compensate luminance and chroma of an image. Luminance and chroma of the image means are compensated in response to the control signal.

Luminance of external background illumination around the image means is measured. Abstract: An image compensation system and methods for video appliances to reproduce an optimum image, by judging exterior environment and by compensating for an original image by the judged exterior environment. According to the system and methods, a color sensor senses color of exterior lighting of an appliance, and provides electrical signals corresponding to color components of the sensed color. The signals are converted into a digital value by an analog-to-digital converter. A microprocessor judges the type of exterior lighting, by the digitized values, and searches for image compensation data according to the judged exterior lighting. It thereby makes a video processor compensate for an original image signal.
