  • Patent number: 7410109
Abstract: A liquid crystal dispensing apparatus dispenses liquid crystal onto a substrate. The apparatus includes a liquid crystal container and a nozzle. The liquid crystal container contains the liquid crystal to be dispensed onto the substrate, and the nozzle is disposed on a lower portion of the liquid crystal container. The nozzle has a main body portion, a discharging portion that projects from a lower surface of the main body portion to dispense liquid crystal, and a protecting portion that projects from the lower surface of the main body portion to protect the dispensing portion. The protecting portion projects from the lower surface of the main body portion at least as much as the discharging portion.
