    Abstract: A polymer lithium ion battery has an aluminum foil case, both surface of which are coated with a thin layer of an insulating polymer and portions of the polymer on the periphery of the case are removed so that the exposed regions can function as battery terminals. Portions of the polymer on the inner surface of the case are removed so that electrode sheets can be electrically connected to the battery terminals.
