  • Publication number: 20190003955
Abstract: Provided is a method of discriminating between bloodstains, the method including obtaining a captured image of an analysis target; analyzing the captured image and extracting a scattering image of a plurality of bloodstains in the analysis target; estimating a scattering angle of the scattering image; and determining the plurality of bloodstains to be an impact spatter bloodstain if the scattering angle is greater than a preset reference angle, and determining the plurality of bloodstains to be a cessation cast-off bloodstain if the scattering angle is less than the reference angle.

  • Publication number: 20170337221
Abstract: Provided is a footprint search method. The footprint search method includes: a footprint image generating operation of generating at least one footprint image from an input image; a partial footprint image classifying operation of classifying the footprint image into one or more partial footprint images having same unit patterns; a feature information acquiring operation of acquiring one or more feature information elements corresponding to the unit pattern of the one or more partial footprint images; a search operation of searching a database for the one or more feature information elements and retrieving a search result record corresponding to one or more items of the one or more feature information elements; and a search result providing operation of providing the search result record to a user.

  • Publication number: 20160150244
Abstract: A decoder includes a parser, an intra predictor, and an inter predictor. The parser parses a bit stream to extract header information and first through third data information, to determine a prediction mode for blocks in a current frame based on the header information, and to selectively output the first and second data information based on the prediction mode. The intra predictor generates a predicted value of a pixel of a current block based on a pixel value of a first reference block in the current frame based on the first data information. The inter predictor predicts a second reference block from a reference frame based on the second data information, converts a pixel value of the second reference block, and generates a predicted value of the pixel of the current block based on a converted pixel value.

  • Patent number: 8325314
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate including: gate and data lines crossing each other to define a pixel region on a first substrate; a thin film transistor connected to the gate and data lines; and first and second height adjusters; an opposing substrate facing the array substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the opposing substrate; a gap spacer corresponding to the first height adjuster and contacting the array substrate and the opposing substrate; a first press-buffer spacer corresponding to the second height adjuster, contacting the opposing substrate and spaced apart from the array substrate; and a second press-buffer spacer contacting the opposing substrate and spaced apart form the array substrate, wherein a distance between the first press-buffer spacer and the array substrate is substantially less than a distance between the second press-buffer spacer and the array substrate.

  • Patent number: 7979631
Abstract: A method of prefetching data in a hard disk drive includes searching for a logic block address (LBA) of data requested by an external apparatus in a history of a non-volatile cache of the hard disk drive, and if the LBA of the data is stored in the history, storing data recorded in a LBA stored after the LBA of the data requested by the external apparatus from among LBAs stored in the history in a buffer of the hard disk drive.

  • Publication number: 20090087168
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a method for reproducing digital media content, and more particularly but without limitation, to a method and apparatus for reading a boot code and digital media content from a non-volatile storage medium other than a conventional hard disk drive. In embodiments of the invention, power is limitedly supplied to an apparatus required for reproducing digital media content. Additionally, in embodiments of the invention, the digital media content is reproduced using a non-volatile storage medium other than a conventional hard disk drive (HDD); in particular, embodiments of the invention utilize a solid state drive (SSD) such as a non-volatile cache memory inside a hybrid hard drive (HDD) or an on-board cache memory. Embodiments of the invention also provide an apparatus for performing the method.
