  • Publication number: 20090022627
Abstract: A color-changing adsorption fabric is provided to identify an adsorption state of a type of chemical, e.g., acid, alkali or organic matter, the color change being generated through a chemical reaction between chemical solution and pH-indicator material after wiping the chemical solution with the fabric. An adsorption fabric used in wiping the chemical solution may include a material, whose color changes when contacting an acid, alkali or organic matter, thereby identifying a type of chemical solution and thus preventing or reducing a fire occurrence. The color change of the adsorption fabric used in wiping a chemical solution may be identified with the naked eye so that separating and disposing the used-adsorption fabric corresponding to a type of chemical may be easier.

  • Patent number: 7447628
Abstract: A verb pattern automatic extension and verification apparatus for use in a Korean-Chinese machine translation system automatically extracts the verb pattern source part that is not applied with the verb pattern contained in the current Korean and Chinese pattern dictionary, and automatically generates the new Korean-Chinese verb pattern based on Chinese target language. The apparatus further automatically extends one newly generated Korean-Chinese verb pattern to a plurality of similar verb pattern candidates, and newly registers the newly-generated and extended Korean-Chinese verb patterns in the Korean and Chinese verb pattern dictionary database. Accordingly, it is possible to easily and automatically collect a large quantity of the Korean and Chinese verb patterns. Further, the translation rate of the Korean-Chinese machine translation system can be rapidly increased due to the automatically increasing verb patterns.

  • Publication number: 20080097743
Abstract: A translation system is provided, which comprises: a translation server comprising guidelines for writing original text that serve as criteria for determining whether errors exist in the original text, an original text controller determining whether the original text conforms to the guidelines for writing original text, and a translation engine translating the original text with reference to at least one of a basic dictionary and a plurality of user dictionaries; a user interface comprising an original text processing part receiving and transmitting the original text to the translation server, a translated text processing part outputting the received translated text from the translation server and transmitting a result about whether to approve the corresponding translated text to the translation server, and a user dictionary editing part modifying contents of the user dictionary; and a user community server comprising an original text writing method shared database and a user dictionary shared database.

  • Publication number: 20080052061
Abstract: A domain-adapted portable machine translation device for closed captions using dynamic translation resources and a method thereof are provided. The device and method improve translation performance with respect to various specialized domains by automatically recognizing style and domain of a caption sentence, dynamically constructing specialized translation module and knowledge, and performing automatic translation with optimal translation resources suitable for a corresponding sentence. Not only does the domain-adapted portable machine translation device for closed captions exhibit improved translation performance for sentences in various domains, but it can also be freely linked with various media devices through input/output terminals.

  • Patent number: 7333927
Abstract: The method for retrieving a similar sentence to a source sentence inputted by a user through a translation memory in a translation aid system is provided. An inverted file of an index word and a translation memory from a parallel corpus are constituted. Candidate sentences having a high similarity are filtered by comparing the source sentence provided by the user with sentences of the constituted translation memory. A source sentence and a corresponding target sentence are outputted in the order of similarity by calculating similarity between the filtered candidate sentences and the source sentence.

  • Patent number: 7214911
Abstract: A car defogging system reduces energy required to defog a windshield glass of the car. A temperature sensor mounted at the windshield glass detects the glass surface temperature, Ts. A humidity sensor spaced from the windshield glass by a predetermined distance detects the humidity, H, around the windshield glass. A temperature sensor mounted inside the windshield glass detects peripheral temperature Te around the glass. A system controller determines if fog is or is not present by comparing the dew point temperature Td with the surface temperature Ts. Dew point temperature Td is derived by the combining values of H and a temperature Tc based on a combination of Ts and Te.

  • Publication number: 20070079621
Abstract: A variable capacity air conditioner compressor is controlled by setting a car target indoor temperature; sensing car indoor and outdoor temperatures and solar radiation with sensors at predetermined car positions; calculating a vent target discharge temperature using the target temperature, sensed car temperatures and solar radiation; calculating a target evaporator temperature and blower voltage based on target discharge temperature; calculating a control duty based on the target evaporator temperature; calculating target evaporator temperature and blower voltage change rates; determining whether or not the compressor comes under a sudden variable condition based on the control duty, and target evaporator temperature and blower voltage change rates; and setting a control duty change rate maximum value to an accelerative slew rate greater than and equal to a basic slew rate when sudden and not sudden variable conditions are respectively determined.

  • Publication number: 20060289458
Abstract: An automotive vehicle defogging system prevents dissipation of energy required to defog the automotive vehicle wind shield. A surface temperature sensor mounted on the wind shield detects the glass surface temperature. A humidity sensor spaced from the wind shield glass by a predetermined distance detects the humidity around the wind shield. A peripheral temperature sensor mounted inside from the wind shield glass detects peripheral temperature around the glass. Dew point temperature is obtained in response to the detected humidity H and a temperature value based on the temperatures detected by the surface and peripheral temperature sensors. The presence of fog is detected by comparing the dew point temperature with the surface temperature Ts.
