    Abstract: Provided is a method of preparing a bioactive ceramic-coated composite. The method includes coating calcium phosphate-based ceramic on a ceramic substrate; and thermally treating the coated calcium phosphate-based ceramic layer in a water vapor atmosphere. The bioactive ceramic-coated composite prepared using the method in which the decomposition of hydroxyapatite is suppressed can be used for artificial bioactive tissues which are harmless to the human body and satisfy chemical and mechanical requirements.

    Abstract: Provided are a multi-component ceramic nano-composite powder that is suitable for forming a sintered ceramic composite and a method of preparing the same. The ceramic nano-composite powder is formed of secondary particles obtained by sintering multi-component ceramic particles with a nano-sized primary particle diameter in nano-scale. The multi-component ceramic particles may be formed of zirconia and alumina. A sintered zirconia-alumina composite formed by sintering the nano-composite powder has greater flexural strength than a sintered composite prepared by mechanically mixing zirconia powder and alumina powder and sintering the mixture.

    Abstract: A ceramic filter and method for preparing the same. The method for preparing the ceramic filter according to the present invention is characterized in comprising the steps of: (a) coating firstly a ceramic green paper prepared by using a slurry solution comprising ceramic fiber of 0.1-10 length, with an aluminum silicate solution and drying the firstly coated paper; (b) coating secondly the dried ceramic green paper with an aluminum phosphate solution and drying the secondly coated paper; and (c) calcining the dried ceramic green paper obtained from the step (b). The ceramic filter according to the present invention has excellent mechanical strength since the bonding strength between ceramic fibers is very high, and shows good porosity, gas permeability, and efficiency for capturing microparticles since the pores between the ceramic fibers are less blocked, and thus can be very usefully applied to gas exhaustion system for automobile.
