The method includes sensing a user's gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, selecting a type of content to be captured, based on a time period that the user's gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content is maintained for or a number of times that the user's gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and capturing the selected type of the content. The type of the content includes internal content to be reproduced in the mobile terminal, and external content from outside the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A method of connecting a plurality of portable terminal over a wireless local area network (WLAN), the method including: a user selecting at least one contact from a contact list displayed on a screen of a first portable terminal, transmitting, from the first portable terminal to an external server over a cellular network, connection information necessary for establishing a WLAN link to the first portable terminal; pushing the connection information from the external server to a second portable terminal corresponding to the selected contact; a user pressing a connection authentication button on a selection menu displayed on the second portable terminal, and establishing the WLAN link to the first portable terminal from the second portable terminal by using the connection information.

Abstract: A method for implementing a multi-vision system by using a plurality of portable terminals, wherein, if a user applies a touch input to each of the plurality of portable terminals in a state in which the plurality of portable terminals are disposed, each of the plurality of portable terminals transmits information relating to the touch input to a multi-vision controller, and the multi-vision controller determines how the plurality of portable terminals have been disposed by using the touch input information and then transmits picture division information indicating a respective content portion to be displayed by each portable terminal to the plurality of portable terminals, and thus, the user can conveniently and quickly implement the multi-vision system by using the plurality of portable terminals and can select an optimized disposition of the plurality of portable terminals based on the characteristics of the content.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving the performance of voice recognition in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a voice recognition management unit, and a controller. After recognizing a user's voice and extracting at least one voice parameter, the voice recognition management unit determines if the extracted at least one voice parameter meets a criterion for determining one of success and failure of voice recognition. The controller analyzes a result of the determination by the voice recognition management unit and outputs a result of the analysis.
