    Abstract: An invention for managing and distributing electronic business cards is disclosed. The system and the methods disclosed utilize a centralized database for managing contact information and make this contact information available as an electronic business card available online for others to view and subscribe using an convenient token such as QR-Code or Bar-Code. Another aspect of the invention is the ownership of the contact information is with the owner of the business card who is responsible for keeping it updated and making the most current information visible to subscribers. A recipient subscribes to an electronic business card by adding a link to the electronic card in their address book referencing which results in the retrieval of the most current and up-to-date contact information from the centralized database. This relieves the subscribers, or the recipients of the business card, from the onus of updating the card owner's information on their local copy.
