  • Patent number: 8089680
Abstract: An electrophoretic display device is described. The device includes a substrate, first electrodes, an electrophoretic film having electrophoretic particles, and second electrodes. The substrate is has a plurality of pixel regions. First electrodes are disposed respectively on each pixel region, and include first patterns separated from one another and second patterns connected to the first patterns. The second electrode is disposed on the electrophoretic film. The area of one of the electrodes, opposing the other of the electrodes has apertures formed therein, reducing the contact area between the electrode and the electrophoretic film.

  • Patent number: 7880851
Abstract: An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device includes gate and data lines crossing on a substrate, common lines parallel to and between the gate lines, thin film transistors at crossing portions of the gate and data lines, and a pixel electrode. The common lines define pixel regions, which are each divided into first and second regions by the corresponding gate line. The thin film transistors each include a gate electrode in a first direction, a semiconductor layer on the gate electrode, and source and drain electrodes on the semiconductor layer in a second direction. The source and drain electrodes cross the gate electrode in each of the first and second regions. The pixel electrode is connected to the drain electrode.

  • Patent number: 6722760
Abstract: A cliché of a gravure offset printing device is fabricated such that an organic layer and a photoresist layer are formed on a substrate. The photoresist layer is developed to form a photoresist pattern, and in a state that the organic layer is blocked with the photoresist pattern, the organic layer is etched to form a groove. The organic layer allows a fine process, so that a gravure offset printing device adopting the cliché can form a fine ink pattern. This fine pattern produces a resolution that is applicable to the production of semiconductors and liquid crystal display devices.

  • Patent number: 6407393
Abstract: An X-ray image sensor which includes: a photoelectric conversion part effecting electric charges in accordance with received amount of X-ray; a pixel electrode for collecting the electric charges; a storage capacitor for storing the electric charges collected in the pixel electrode, having a first capacitor electrode, a dielectric layer deposited on the first capacitor electrode and a second capacitor electrode on the dielectric layer, the second capacitor electrode contacting the pixel electrode through a first contact hole formed in a protection film on the second capacitor electrode; and a switching part controlling release of electric charges stored in the storage capacitor to an outer circuit. By the present invention, the switching characteristics of the TFT is enhanced by way of forming a two-layered protection film of silicon nitride and BCB on the channel portion of TFT, the capacity of the parasitic capacitor, which exists between the pixel electrode and the TFT, can be decreased.
