  • Publication number: 20240073134
Abstract: The construction method of NALU (Network Abstraction Layer Unit) for IPv6 label switching and its using algorithms of video encoding, QoS control, and decoding are provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the NALU format is composed of the NALH (Network Abstraction Layer Header) including the label and the NAL (Network Ab-straction Layer) payload. Here, the label is determined based on layer information which is combination of a spatial scalable level, a temporal scalable level, and a quality scalable level of the encoded data. The decoder uses the label to decide which one of multiple decoding modules is used to decode the current NAL payload. Moreover, the label can be included in the packet header so that the MANE (Media Aware Network Element) can use the label to decide whether to forward the packet or drop it. For example, the label in the packet header can be used for QoS control of video service by using the flow label field in IPv6 packet header.

  • Patent number: 11528315
Abstract: There are provided a method and apparatus for delivering transport characteristics of multimedia data. According to an aspect of the present invention, transport characteristics of media data that can be divided in a unit of a Media Processing Unit (MPU) are created in a unit of a predetermined number of MPUs, the created transport characteristics and a flag indicating presence or absence of the created transport characteristics are inserted into the media data, and the resultant media data is delivered. Accordingly, by using transport characteristics in units of media data unit groups, each media data unit corresponding to a short time length, it is possible to effectively control Quality of Service (QoS) in a dynamically changing transport environment, like a mobile network.

  • Patent number: 11157651
Abstract: A data processing system maintaining a plurality of masking engines is configured to synchronize masking jobs between different masking engines, in order to ensure consistent outputs between the different engines for the same job. Upon identifying a masking job object maintained by a first masking engine to be exported, dependencies of the job object are traversed to identify all objects depended on by the job object, which are used to form an export payload. At least object of the payload is a reference object that references other objects maintained by the first masking engine. When importing the export payload onto a second masking engine, the export payload is analyzed to identify revision information of the referenced object. The identified revision information is compared with revision information of a corresponding object maintained by the second masking engine, and the referenced objects is imported based upon a result of the comparison.
