  • Patent number: 8001237
Abstract: A precision data capture recorder/security device non-intrusively and precisely captures and records information from computerized input devices (e.g., computer keyboards and mouses). Information collected by a data capture recorder co-located with a client can be precisely date and time tag user input to a user interface (e.g., keyboard) and transmitted to a base collection station for archiving and analysis. Archived information provides accurate history logs for regulatory audit compliance, data security, and system administrative troubleshooting. Analysis can help determine whether user data input patterns at the user interface are authorized.

  • Publication number: 20060268567
Abstract: A backlight unit having light emitting diodes and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed, whereby a hot spot is not generated without recourse to use of a conventional lateral light emitting diode package to enable to improve a picture quality, and the method dispenses with an assembling process of placing a hot spot baffle plate to enable to simplify a manufacturing process of a backlight unit, and to reduce a thickness of the backlight unit.

  • Publication number: 20050078932
Abstract: A variable optical attenuator is disclosed. The variable optical attenuator includes an optical fiber part formed of at least one input optical fiber integrated with at least one output optical fiber, a mirror part having at least one micromirror facing into and spaced apart from the optical fiber part, reflecting emitted light rays emitted from the input fiber to the output fiber, and making one of a vertical movement and a rotational movement, so as to attenuate the emitted light rays, and a lens formed between the optical fiber part and the mirror part, and focusing the emitted light rays emitted from the input optical fiber to the micromirror.

  • Publication number: 20050006611
Abstract: Electromagnetic control valve is disclosed. A permanent magnet and a needle are fitted in a cylindrical valve body, and a coil, and first and second yokes are mounted on an outside circumferential surface of the valve body. There are first and second ports in the valve body for making an outside space and an inside space of the valve body in communication. There is an orifice in the valve body for making the first and the second ports in communication. The needle is disposed at a position opposite to a side of the orifice, for moving in an up/down direction when a current is applied to the coil. Direction and amount of movement of the needle are dependent on a direction and an intensity of the current applied to the coil. When the needle moves, a tip of the needle varies an opened area of the orifice linearly, according to which a flow rate of the fluid passed through the orifice is controlled according to a position of the needle.

  • Publication number: 20050006612
Abstract: A flow control valve apparatus using a flow control valve manufactured via micro-machining is provided. The flow control valve has a substrate defining at least one orifice through which a fluid can flow, a support member formed on a first surface of the substrate, at least one flap corresponding to the at least one orifice, a pair of elastic flexures connecting the support member to the at least one flap, and a driving means for displacing the at least one flap between the first and second positions to control fluid flow through the at least one orifice. The support member is formed adjacent to the at least one orifice and the at least one flap extends from the support member to fittingly engage the at least one orifice in a first and second position. Also, the pair of elastic flexures provides an elastic restorative force proportional to a displacement of the at least one flap between the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 6380924
Abstract: This apparatus is an add-on computer component peripheral for existing computer systems. The mouse/keyboard capture recorder (MCR) is capable of recording keyboard keystrokes, mouse coordinate movements, and mouse actions such as left, middle and right mouse clicks and/or mouse drag movements. The MCR has external cables that connect inline to a host computer's external keyboard and mouse without modification on the host computer system and its peripherals. The MCR apparatus operates independently of the hardware and software that is installed on a host computer system. A microprocessor monitors and controls all operations and stores mouse actions and keyboard actions in non-volatile memory during the MCR's record mode. In the MCR play mode, the apparatus will transmit the stored keyboard/mouse data by sending electrical signals representing the stored data to a host computer system via the mouse port and the keyboard port.

  • Patent number: 6031281
Abstract: Semiconductor devices having bonding wires are encapsulated in a fluid molding resin, and the flow front of the molding resin can displace the bonding wires and create a short of the device. A semiconductor IC device is provided with dummy bonding wires to prevent or reduce the wire displacement by blocking the remaining bonding wires from direct exposure to the molding resin flow front in the mold cavity. Wire displacement or sweep of the dummy bonding wires causes the dummy bonding wires to contact their adjacent remaining bonding wires, but this contact does not cause a short in the device. The size of the semiconductor IC device is thereby reduced by increasing the allowable length of the bonding wires in the device, resulting in improved yields and lower production costs.
