Publication number: 20150160675Abstract: A demand response (DR) system includes a DR control unit to generate different DR levels having different power rates for each power unit, and transmit a current DR level, and a household appliance to receive the DR level from the DR control unit, and differentially control energy output of a product in response to the received DR level so as to reduce power consumption of the product. As a result, the DR system reduces power consumption when power rates are high so as to reduce electricity bills.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2015Publication date: June 11, 2015Applicant: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Hyun Ki KIM, Jae Min LIM, Seong Uk PYUNG, Sun Il JIN, Hyeng Kyun KIM, Jae Yu SEO, Seong Wook JEONG, Sung Ho CHO, Jung Won PARK, Jang Beom YANG, Chang Ho SON, Young Jin BAEK

Patent number: 8930033Abstract: A demand response (DR) system, computer-readable medium and method are disclosed. The DR system controls a high-power-consumption load to be pre-operated or post-operated in a low-power-rate interval instead of a high-power-rate interval, and reduces an amount of power consumption required for a high-power-rate interval, resulting in reduction of power rates. In addition, limitation to household appliance operation is minimized, to greatly reduce inconvenience of a user.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2011Date of Patent: January 6, 2015Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jang Beom Yang, Jung Won Park, Seong Wook Jeong, Chang Hern Lee, Seong Chan Gim, Young Ho Jang, Jae Min Lim, Sung Ho Cho, Sun Il Jin, Chang Ho Son, Young Jin Baek

Publication number: 20110227865Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for driving a touch panel, which the touch panel is insensitive to noise while increasing sensitivity rather than that of an output voltage generated by a change in capacitance.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2011Publication date: September 22, 2011Inventor: Young Jin Baek

Publication number: 20110227864Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for driving a touch panel, which calibrates a drift of an output voltage, generated by a change of an external environment or touch panel, thereby having excellent noise characteristics, high touch sensitivity. The apparatus includes a touch panel having a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels is connected to a first capacitor in which their electric charges are stored. A differential amplifier receives and amplifies the amount of electric charges generated by a change in the capacitance of the first capacitor of the touch panel, inputted through two input terminals and outputs the amplified voltage to two output terminals. An analog to digital converter (ADC) receives an output of the differential amplifier as an input and converts the output into a digital value. A reference voltage calibrator outputs positive and negative voltages to the differential amplifier and calibrates a reference voltage.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2011Publication date: September 22, 2011Inventor: Young Jin Baek

Patent number: 6491956Abstract: Live strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus HY2177 and Lactobacillus casei HY2743 maintained in nutritious foods, such as yogurt, imbue them with prophylactic and/or therapeutic properties. Such foods are beneficial in the prevention and/or treatment of gastritis, duodenal and gastric ulcers caused by infection from Helicobacter pylori (also referred to as H. pylori). The properties of these bacteria are boosted by the addition of egg yolk containing antibodies specific to H. pylori antigen derived from “fractionated H. pylori” and may be administered as active strains alone in a food supplement, or the active strains may be combined with H. pylori-antibodies (IgY).Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2001Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Assignee: Korea Yakult Co. Ltd.Inventors: Cheol Seong Heo, Jeong Jun Lee, Young Jin Baek, Hyung Soo Kim
