Publication number: 20230028141Abstract: A tremor stabilization apparatus, for example for helping to stabilize tremors of user with Parkinson's Disease or Essential Tremor. The tremor stabilization apparatus has a housing that is attachable to a part of a user's body and a rotatable flywheel assembly mounted to the housing. The rotatable flywheel assembly includes a rotatable flywheel, a prime mover arranged to rotate the flywheel about a flywheel rotation axis, and a gimbal to which the flywheel is attached. The gimbal is pivotally mounted to the housing at a hinge formed between the gimbal and the housing and defining a precession axis such that the flywheel can precess with respect to the housing about the precession axis. The precession axis is fixed relative to the housing. The tremor stabilization apparatus further includes a biasing member arranged to oppose precession of the rotatable flywheel assembly and urge the rotatable flywheel assembly to an equilibrium position.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2020Publication date: January 26, 2023Inventors: Faii ONG, Elliott BAXTER, Youssef IBRAHIM, Stephen KNIGHT, Benjamin KOH, Gordon MCGABE, Paul DE PANISSE, Stuart TYLER

Publication number: 20230023019Abstract: An apparatus for hand tremor stabilization including a rotatable flywheel assembly mountable to a hand of a user. The rotatable flywheel assembly includes i) a flywheel having a flywheel mass, m, and a flywheel diameter, d, and ii) a prime mover adapted to rotate the flywheel at a rotational speed, r, about a flywheel rotation axis such that the rotatable flywheel assembly generates an angular momentum having a magnitude of between about 0.05 kgm2/s and about 0.30 kgm2/s.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2020Publication date: January 26, 2023Inventors: Faii ONG, Elliott BAXTER, Youssef IBRAHIM, Stephen KNIGHT, Benjamin KOH, Gordon MCGABE, Paul DE PANISSE, Stuart TYLER

Publication number: 20220304888Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus for stabilisation of tremors, both physiological and pathological, of parts of the body, especially the hands. We describe an apparatus for reducing effects of tremors on an area of the human body, the apparatus comprising a gyroscope device and an attachment assembly for attachment of the gyroscope device to a location on the human body in the area, wherein the attachment assembly provides a substantially inelastic attachment to the location and comprises a gyroscope mount. The gyroscope mount comprises a substantially stiff first plate having a shape adapted to substantially correspond with a shape of the human body in the location. In preferred embodiments, the attachment assembly further comprises a second plate mountable to the body such that a clamping force is appliable between the first plate and the second plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2020Publication date: September 29, 2022Inventors: Joon Faii Ong, Benjamin Koh, Elliott Baxter, Youssef Ibrahim, Stephen Knight, Paul de Panisse Passis

Publication number: 20220031194Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a five-layer environment consisting tremor management hardware, interface, control system, machine learning environment and cloud capabilities. These elements come together to implement program instructions and perform steps to: receive sensory data elements(s) for tremor stat(s), physiological and/or environmental state(s) of the user, user activities and state(s) of the tremor management hardware and based on these state(s) generate at least one actionable tremor mitigation action associated with historical tremor mitigation improvements recorded in a memory, and display at a user computing device the at least one actionable tremor mitigation action to a user, a healthcare provider, or both.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2021Publication date: February 3, 2022Inventors: Joon Faii Ong, Benjamin T.J. Publication number: 20210372362Abstract: The invention relates to a device that generates clean, renewable energy by using gravity. The device generates energy by pumping water in a water well and has a plurality of methods for use. In the case of a single well, the well acts as a battery that stores energy and produces more energy than it stores. The well can store energy in multiple ways, it being possible to store energy during off-peak hours and pump energy during peak hours, benefitting from the cost difference, or to store the excess free energy produced from renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind energy or other types of renewable energy, and pump the energy when same is required. The second use is based on two or more devices of the invention that generate hydroelectrical energy by pumping and storing between the at least two devices, taking turns to charge and produce energy from one well to another. The well can be used in multiple sizes.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2017Publication date: December 2, 2021Inventor: Mohammed Youssef Ibrahim AL-JANDAL

Publication number: 20210356271Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements in or relating to tremor stabilisation apparatus and methods, in particular to gyroscopic devices for use in controlling tremors of parts of the body and for reducing effects of tremors on the human body. The apparatus includes a wearable element and at least one gyroscopic device mounted or mountable to the wearable element, the gyroscopic device including a gyroscope and a gyroscope housing. The at least one gyroscopic device may be mounted within the housing such that the gyroscope may precess with respect to the housing. The mount may include a hinge to which the gyroscope is mounted and a hinge plate or hinge mount to which the hinge is mounted for rotation with respect to the gyroscope housing, such as a turntable mounted to the gyroscope housing. The gyroscopic devices may include a control arrangement to control the precession of the gyroscope.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2021Publication date: November 18, 2021Inventors: Joon Faii Ong, Benjamin Gan, Benjamin Koh, Xavier Laguarta Soler, Winston Choong Ngan Lou, Paul de Panisse, Youssef Ibrahim, Justas Medeisis, .
