Abstract: Display and audio systems and methods for controlling positioning of displays and speakers based on viewer and listener attention are disclosed. According to an aspect, a display system includes a selectively adjust a viewing angle of a display for one or more viewers. The display system also includes a motorized mechanism that controllably positions the display in one of the positions. An attention detection system is configured to acquire movement and position data of the viewer(s). The attention detection system is also configured to determine whether attention of the viewer(s) is directed to the display based on the acquired data. Further, the attention detection system is configured to control the support assembly to adjust the viewing angle of the display for viewing by the viewer(s) in response to determining that the attention of the viewer(s) is directed to the display.

Abstract: Converging of content from multiple display sources includes receiving eye tracking information related to a user including a first area of interest comprising content displayed on a first screen and a second area of interest comprising content displayed on a second screen; converging, in dependence upon the received eye tracking information, the content of the first and second areas of interest; and displaying the converged content on a single screen.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a storage device for storing program instructions and a processor for processing the program instructions to receive orientation data from a first display device, receive data from the first display device indicating detection of a second display device in a position adjacent to a first edge of the first display device, determine a layout of the first and second display devices based upon the orientation of the first display and the adjacent position of the second display device relative to the first display device, and automatically configure operating system display settings to identify that the first and second display devices are physically arranged according to the determined layout. The display device may include an orientation sensor and a plurality of detectors spaced apart about a central portion of a display screen at predetermined positions, each detector for detecting presence of an adjacent display device.
