  • Publication number: 20130304308
Abstract: Provided are a vehicle information acquisition device and a vehicle information acquisition method which are capable of accelerating the update time of vehicle information that needs to be updated in a short time and enhancing convenience. A vehicle information acquisition device (200) transmits respective pieces of request data each requesting any one of multiple kinds of vehicle information in a predetermined order via a vehicle diagnosis connector (302) provided in a vehicle (300) and receives, from the vehicle (300) side, respective pieces of response data indicating the respective pieces of vehicle information to thereby periodically acquire the respective pieces of vehicle information. The vehicle information acquisition device is characterized by transmitting, among the respective pieces of request data, request data that requests vehicle information having a higher update priority at a higher frequency than request data that requests vehicle information having a lower update priority.

  • Publication number: 20110121959
Abstract: An instrument driver is provided in which a radical new representation can be used in presentation operation to improve marketability and design. The instrument driver includes an instrument 2 indicating vehicle information by turning of a pointer on a display plate and first and second illuminating means 2d and 2e for illuminating the instrument with different illumination colors. Control means 1 and 2a is included which causes the instrument 2 to perform presentation operation different from normal display operation in response to an input of a predetermined start signal and gradually changes at least brightness of the first illuminating means 2d and brightness of the second illuminating means 2e at different times as the presentation operation. The start signal is an input for turning on or an input for turning off a power source switch.

  • Publication number: 20100207530
Abstract: A meter driving apparatus is provided in which the display luminance of a plurality of placed meters can be adjusted in synchronization to enhance the appearance of the whole additional meter system. The driving apparatus is for a plurality of meters 2 and 3. The meters include the first meter (digital meter) 2 including an optical sensor 2d for detecting the surrounding brightness and having an auto-light-adjustment function of obtaining light-adjustment data for adjusting the display luminance of the meter 2 in accordance with the detection result of the optical sensor 2d and the second meter (analog data) 3 having no optical sensor. The driving apparatus has a control unit 1 which transmits the light-adjustment data obtained by the first meter 2 to the second meter. The second meter 3 adjusts the display luminance thereof based on the light-adjustment data received from the control unit 1.
