    Abstract: A vehicle interior trim panel includes an external layer and a base layer. The external layer defines an aperture, and is configured to overlie a vehicle interior structure and has a portion configured to be disposed in an aperture between the vehicle interior structure and a handle attached to the vehicle interior structure. The base layer is configured to be disposed between the external layer and the vehicle interior structure, without being disposed between the external layer and the vehicle interior structure at the portion of the external layer disposed between the vehicle interior structure and the handle. The base layer includes a peripheral edge spaced from the aperture.
