  • Publication number: 20090108671
Abstract: A vehicle drive apparatus independently controls drive forces for a front-right drive wheel, a front-left drive wheel, a rear-right drive wheel, and a rear-left drive wheel using a front-right electric motor, a front-left electric motor, a rear-right electric motor, and a rear-left electric motor, respectively. The drive forces for the drive wheels of a vehicle incorporating the vehicle drive apparatus are determined based on the target moments in the yaw and roll directions of the vehicle, the total drive for the drive wheels, and the drive reaction forces at the drive wheels. Thus, the performance desired by the driver can be achieved, and the drivability therefore improves accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20090044219
Abstract: An electronic device (e.g., a display device) (101) is connected with an external connection device (e.g., an image recording/playback device) (201), thereby to perform data communications. A controller (103) of the electronic device (101) decides, in case it receives operation information, whether or not an operation screen (GUI) for the electronic device (101) is displayed. When the operation screen is displayed, the controller (103) further decides whether or not a key (a reception key) corresponding to the received operation information is effective for the operation screen. The controller (103) performs, when the reception key is effective for the operation screen, a control responding to the reception key, and, when the reception key is not effective for the operation screen, sends the received operation information to the external connection device (201).

  • Publication number: 20080313439
Abstract: In a pipeline device, the output of each of processing units is connected to a corresponding one of data output lines of data transfer lines. Input selectors are provided for the processing units, respectively. Each input selector selects one of the data transfer lines except for one data output line to which the output of a corresponding one processing unit is connected to thereby determine one of interconnection patterns among the processing units. The interconnection patterns correspond to data-processing tasks, respectively. Each input selector inputs, to a corresponding one of the processing units, data flowing through the selected one of the data transfer lines. Each processing unit individually performs a predetermined process based on data inputted thereto by a corresponding one of the input selectors to thereby perform, in pipeline, one of the data-processing tasks corresponding to the determined one of the interconnection patterns.

  • Publication number: 20080091830
Abstract: The present invention provides a transmitting apparatus, a receiving apparatus, and a file transfer system, by which processing of transferring a file is efficiently executed, even if the file transfer is temporarily stopped for a long time in the file transfer system in which the transmitting apparatus voluntarily transmits the file to the receiving apparatus. In the file transfer system of the present invention, a sink apparatus, which is the receiving apparatus, receives file data included in a file from a source apparatus, which is the transmitting apparatus, and then stores the received file data. When a size of the stored data is inquired from the source apparatus, the sink apparatus informs the size to the source apparatus. Further, the source apparatus detects stopping of the file transfer. After the detecting of the stopping of the file transfer, the source apparatus inquires the size of stored data to the sink apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7230685
Abstract: First image data including a first pixel value according to the intensity of background light is obtained by means of only exposure. Second image data including a second pixel value according to the intensity of the light reflected or scattered by an object is obtained by so controlling light emission and exposure as to receive part of the reflected or scattered light over the whole exposure period. The part of the reflected or scattered light corresponds to the flat period of emitted pulsed light. Third image data including a third pixel value according to the distance to the object is obtained by so controlling light emission and exposure as to receive the part of the reflected or scattered light for a time according to the distance. The first pixel value is subtracted from each of the second and third pixel values so that the influence of the background light can be excluded.

  • Publication number: 20060291811
Abstract: When a server device records a portion of a movie after a client device has started a streaming playback, the client device is allowed to make a special playback of that movie. The server device includes: a video recording processing section for recording a movie and generating movie data, made up of predetermined data units, and management information in which a playback duration and a data size are associated with each other for each unit; a storage medium to store the movie data and management information; a receiving section, which receives a request to get the management information and a request to transmit the data unit from the client device; a request processing section for reading the management information and data unit in response to the requests and instructing their transmission; and a transmitting section for transmitting them.

  • Patent number: 6886891
Abstract: In a structure of mounting a wheel cap to a wheel, a plurality of pairs of support plates are projectingly provided on an inner wall of the wheel cap made of a synthetic resin and arranged annularly so that the support plates in each pair are opposed to each other in a circumferential direction. A pair of elastic support legs extending from opposed surfaces of the support plates in each pair are integrally connected to each other to form a V-shape. A locking claw is formed on a connection between the support legs and capable of being engaged into a locking recess in an inner peripheral surface of a rim of the wheel. An annular setting spring is connected to the locking claws for biasing the locking claws in a direction to come into engagement in the locking recess. Thus, it is possible to form each of the support legs supporting each of the locking claws sufficiently long to enhance the flexibility of the support leg, thereby improving durability of the support legs and mounting property of the wheel cap.
