Abstract: A coupling device for a piston rod type damper used to open and close a movable body on a main body is interposed between the main body and the movable body, and has a part of the damper attached so as to be capable of rotation. The device includes a clip having a shaft part with an encircling groove projecting on the upper side of a flange part, a locking leg projecting on the lower side of the flange part, and a cap capable of coupling with the encircling groove. The locking leg is locked in an attachment hole provided on a movable body or main body, and the shaft part is inserted through a shaft hole provided in the damper to prevent the shaft part from slipping out of the cap. The device provides both excellent coupling operability and reliability, and desirable external appearance characteristics.

Abstract: An air damper includes a cylinder having a bottom, a piston received inside the cylinder to move freely back and forth coaxially, and an orifice provided in the piston. The piston is formed of a synthetic resin, and has a piston rod extending toward a side of the cylinder opposite to the bottom, and a recess portion provided on a portion facing the bottom in order to prevent sink or the like during molding of the piston. A protruding portion is provided on the bottom of the cylinder to protrude into the recess portion when the piston is fully moved into the cylinder.

Abstract: A cup holder unit includes an outer case, an inner case slidable between a pulled-out position and a stored position, a main holder member slidable between a usable position and a non-usable position, and a connecting member pivotally supported on the inner case. The connecting member has an abutment section to abut against a corresponding section of the main holder member halfway through pulling of the main holder member from the non-usable position so that the main holder member can be pulled out together with the inner case, and a tab to engage a notched section when the inner case is substantially fully pulled out to the pulled-out position. A disengaging abutment section is formed at the connecting member to disengage the tab from the notched section by abutting against the corresponding section halfway through pushing the main holder member from the usable position to the non-usable position.

Abstract: A lock device for a glove compartment includes a lid body for covering the glove compartment, and a latch mechanism attached to the lid body and having an operating member for actuating the latch mechanism. The operating member has a first member passing through a hole of the lid body and operationally attached to the latch mechanism, and a second member fixed to the first member and having a size at least equal to that of the hole. An escape-preventing device is disposed between the first member and the second member for connecting the same. The escape-preventing device includes a raised part formed on the first or second member, and a recessed part for elasticity engaging the raised part formed on the second or first member.

Abstract: A clip for mounting a weatherstrip between an end side of a window and a window frame includes: a weatherstrip side member having arms for engaging the weatherstrip and tabular engagement pieces extending from a base portion of the arms; and a window frame side member including box-shape holding portions for allowing the tabular engagement pieces to slide therein and an attachment device, i.e. T stud attachment portion and a double-sided tape, for attaching to the window frame. An engagement device is provided between the engagement pieces and the holding portions, and is formed of claws provided on one of the engagement pieces and holding portions and holes provided on the other. The weatherstrip side member and the window frame side member can be separately formed, and easily combined.
