Abstract: A waste container includes a container body having a receiving cavity and a top opening, a lid and at least one connecting member. The lid has a size adapted for covering the top opening of the container body and one or more pivot joints provided on an inner side thereof. The at least one connecting member has a hinging end edge hinged to a top hinging edge of the container body and a pivoting end edge, parallel to the hinging end edge, pivotally mounted to the inner side of the lid through the one or more pivot joints of the lid so as to connect the lid with the container body.
