Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for implementing simulation services, including the following: an interworking control unit obtains the CS domain network user identifier after detecting that the call signaling message from the CS domain network carries no CS domain network user identifier, puts the obtained user identifier into the SIP message, which is subsequently sent to the IMS network; the IMS network processes the PSTN/ISDN simulation services according to the user identifier. The present invention also discloses a system for implementing simulation service. The present invention makes it unnecessary to extend the existing SIP protocol and to perform signaling interaction between the IMS network and the interworking control unit for obtaining the user identifier, thus simplifying the implementation of the PSTN/ISDN simulation services.

An entrance network element (NE) of a called network receives a session request carrying called user identification (ID) information from a calling network. When determining that the called user ID information is incomplete, the entrance NE of the called network sends a response message indicating that the called user ID information is incomplete to the calling network. The calling network updates the called user ID information according to the response message, and sends the updated called user ID information to the entrance NE of the called network. An interface NE, a called network system, a call connection system, and a method of informing a call connection failure are also provided.

When the media gateway control unit receives an Address Complete message or Call Progress message from the circuit domain network, the media gateway control unit instructs a media gateway to open a media stream channel. If the received message carries an indicator indicating the called party is free, the media gateway control unit sends a Ringing response message to the packet core network; if the received message does not carry a indicator indicating the called party is free, the media gateway control unit sends a response message carrying indicator of failed call but successful media stream setup or a response message indicating failed call but successful media stream setup to the packet core network. With the method according to the embodiments of the present invention, the calling party may hear ring-back tone indicating successful call, or signal tone or voice announcement indicating failed call.

In the present invention, service control unit sets a mark indicating not to request ring resource in Invite message initiated to the forward user, and indicating the backward service control unit not to request triggering the ring resource. Optionally, service control unit only sends ringing message forwardly when it receives the backward ringing message and succeeds to request ring resource, and when it receives the backward ringing message, if service control unit has ever initiated call forward, then it deactivates backward ring resource.

Upon reception of a SUBSCRIBE message, a notifier sets a temporary subscription flag or a permanent subscription flag for a subscriber according to an identifier carried in the message or service characteristic corresponding to a subscribed event.
