  • Patent number: 9631599
Abstract: This invention relates to an arrangement in a wave energy recovery system comprising at least a wing element hinged on its one edge to make a reciprocating motion in response to kinetic energy of waves or tidal currents, a wave energy recovery means having a space alterable by its volume with the help of a connection rod making a reciprocating movement caused by the wing element At least the sealings and/or through holes between the space and the connection rod are protected against seawater.

  • Patent number: 9551125
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method for installing and servicing an apparatus module recovering the kinetic energy of water; and the apparatus module itself. The apparatus module with wave energy recovering units is descended into the sea bottom and is kept steady at the sea bottom by the help of its own mass and the mass of the water filled into a plurality of soft and hard compartments and valve compartments in the body of the apparatus module. Correspondingly the apparatus module is lifted into the surface of the water and made floating by the help of air that is blown to the plurality of soft and hard compartments and the valve compartments in order to replace the water.

  • Publication number: 20160040647
Abstract: This invention relates to a submersible wave energy con- version unit comprising at least a stationary stand, a panel hinged at its lower edge onto the stationary stand to make a reciprocating motion in response to kinetic energy of waves or tidal currents, and a power-take-off machinery. According to the invention the power-take-off machinery is placed inside the panel.

  • Publication number: 20100242826
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method for installing and servicing an apparatus module (1) recovering the kinetic energy of water; and the apparatus module (1) itself. The apparatus module (1) with wave energy recovering units (3) is descended into the sea bottom (12) and is kept steady at the sea bottom (12) by the help of its own mass and the mass of the water filled into the compartments (2a and 2c) in the body (2) of the apparatus module (1). Correspondingly the apparatus module (1) is lifted into the surface of the water and made floating by the help of air that is blown to the compartments (2a) and (2c) in order to replace the water.

  • Publication number: 20060150626
Abstract: A production installation (1) for utilizing wave energy in which production installation there are two or more production units (4) and the water mass (V) of the water basin is adapted to actuate production units (4) or their parts located at the bottom (P) of the water basin or in close vicinity, and the production units (4) can be used to transform the kinetic energy of the water mass into some other form of energy like electric energy and/or kinetic energy and/or pressure of the intermediate agent. The production units (4) are attached directly or indirectly to the bottom of the water basin at intermediate water region (B). The production units (4) are totally submerged under water surface. The transfer equipment of the energy of the production units (4) or of the intermediate substance is connected in series or parallel in relation to each other.
