Abstract: A composition of a fragrant ink, at least comprising a microcapsule compound, a colorant, a media, a dispersing agent, and an emulsifier, and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The microcapsule compound encapsulates a fragrant agent for providing the fragrant ink with fragrance. The colorant provides the fragrant ink with at least one color. The media is used as a solvent. The dispersing agent is for evenly dispersing the microcapsule compound in the media. The emulsifier emulsifies the fragrant agent released from the microcapsule compound and evenly disperses the fragrant agent in the media.

Abstract: An invisible ink composition and a method to ensure document confidentiality are disclosed. The invisible ink composition includes a carrier as a solvent; and at least one leuco dye evenly dispersing in the carrier. The invisible ink becomes visible while the leuco dye combines with a weak acidic developer.

Abstract: An ink-jet ink of multicolor dye set with high light-fastness comprises: a multicolor dye set, a surfactant, and an aqueous solvent. The multicolor dye set includes a cyan dye set, a magenta dye set, and a yellow dye set. The cyan dye set comprises direct blue 199 dye, acid blue 9 dye, and direct blue 86 dye. The magenta dye set comprises reactive red 180 dye, acid red 52 dye, and reactive red dye. The yellow dye set comprises acid yellow 23 and Milliken Palmer yellow R dye. When the multicolor dye set of the invention is applied in ink-jet printing process, the high-quality printed image possesses high light-fastness, high chroma, broad color gamut.

Abstract: A highly bleed-alleviating ink composition including at least one colorant, an aqueous media, a linear diol, and a humectant. The main feature of the ink composition is the addition of the linear diol. When the ink composition is applied in ink-jet printing, not only is the bleeding between black ink and color ink alleviated, but also water-fastness and printing quality are improved.

Abstract: A water-soluble dye set used in thermal bubble color ink-jet printers. The dye set has high water-fastness and includes (a) Directive Blue 199 dye and Acidic Blue 9 dye; (b) Reactive Red 180 dye, Acidic Red 52 dye, and Directive Red 75 dye; and (c) Directive Yellow 132 dye and Acidic Yellow 5 dye. The dye set of the present invention has improved heat stability and storage stability when used in thermal bubble ink-jet printers. In addition, the dye set has special viscosity, good surface tension, and high water resistance, greatly improving printing properties.

Abstract: An ink-jet ink including at least polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester, glycol, a colorant, a surfactant and a humectant is disclosed. The ink-jet ink of the invention provides for prints of fast drying, higher adhesion of the ink drop to the media, better water fastness and higher optical density. Moreover, clogging and blockage of the ink nozzle can be prevented.

Abstract: An ink-jet ink at least including polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester, colorant, surfactants, and humectant is disclosed. The ink-jet ink effectively reduces the surface tension of the ink jet ink and increases the speed of ink drying. The water fastness of the ink-jet ink of the invention is also improved due to the higher adhesive force between the ink drop and the media.

Abstract: A fragrant ink-jet ink including: a fragrant agent, a surfactant, wherein a boiling point of the surfactant is above 78° C. and a Hydrophilic Lipophilic Balance (HLB) of the surfactant is in a range of about 5 to 16, a colorant, and a solvent. The fragrant agent can be a natural fragrant agent, a synthetic fragrant agent or a mixture thereof. The amount of the fragrant agent is about 0.01 wt % to 10.0 wt %.

Abstract: A jet ink of magenta comprising reactive red 180, acid red 52, and reactive red is disclosed in the present invention, wherein the said jet ink of magenta has the advantages of decreasing the color-fading phenomenon due to water exposure and light irradiation. Therefore, the properties of light-fastness and water-fastness are improved greatly, and thus, so is the printing quality.

Abstract: The present invention provides a thermochromic ink composition for an ink jet printer comprising at least one thermochromic pigment and a carrier medium. The thermochromic pigment is encapsulated to form a thermochromic micro-encapsule pigment whose particle size is below 1 &mgr;m and temperature of coloration/decoloration is −10˜100° C. The carrier medium is a water solution or an organic solution with surfactant, dispersant, buffer, chelating agent, bactericide, preservative, and UV inhibitor.

Abstract: A new phosphorescent ink composition including a micro-capsulated phosphorescent pigment for ink jet printing is disclosed. The phosphorescent ink composition not only promotes the printing quality, enhances light fastness of colorants, and promotes luster of color but also shows the unique luminescent colors in dark. The ink composition includes at least one phosphorescent pigment, at least one colorant providing an ink color, and a vehicle comprising an organic solvent having a predetermined concentration, and at least one surfactant. The phosphorescent pigment is micro-capsulated in a resin film and is dispersed in the vehicle. The phosphorescent pigment is ground to a diameter of less than 1 micron in advance.
