  • Patent number: 10223329
Abstract: An approach for ontological policy based data collection, processing, and negotiation for data in view of analytics is provided. The approach searches one or more data sources for data related to a data request. The approach collects data related to the data request from the one or more data sources. The approach determines whether one or more attributes generated from the data request match one or more descriptors associated with the data related to the data request. The approach creates one or more annotated ontologies for the data related to the data request. The approach displays a hierarchical visualization of the one or more annotated ontologies for the data related to the data request. The approach updates the one or more annotated ontologies for the data related to the data request based, at least in part, on an evaluation of the quality of the one or more data selections.

  • Patent number: 10185637
Abstract: For disaster recovery involving a first site and a disaster recovery site, where at least a portion of management service metadata not isolated within the management service, a failover process is initiated, including creating an initial snapshot of the distributed metadata state. In a failback process, a representation is created of state changes for the management service and a delta description is calculated therefrom. The delta description is transmitted to the first site; and a reverse replica is created, at the first site, of all the workload components from the disaster recovery site. The delta description is played back to restore a distributed metadata state that existed in the disaster recovery site and to re-create it in the first site.

  • Publication number: 20180232450
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for the discovery of facets. A search query over sets of data (e.g., a set of documents) leads to search results. The search results are organized by facets. Responsive to receiving new queries, facets are dynamically extracted from the search results. Furthermore, user profiles are dynamically updated. The order of presentation of facets, as displayed in a graphical user interface, can be modified based on the extracted facets.

  • Publication number: 20180165355
Abstract: A base query having a plurality of base query terms is obtained. A plurality of problem log files are accessed. Words, contained in a corpus vocabulary, are extracted from the plurality of problem log files. Based on the words extracted from the plurality of problem log files, a first expanded query is generated from the base query. The corpus is queried, via a query engine and a corpus index, with a second expanded query related to the first expanded query.

  • Publication number: 20180095961
Abstract: An approach for conversion between database formats (e.g., from a relational database format to a hash table or a “big table” database format) based on user data access patterns in a networked computing environment is provided. A first set of database tables having a first format is identified based on a set of access patterns stored in a computer storage device. A second set of database tables having a second database format corresponding to the first set of database tables may then be provided (e.g., accessed, augmented, and/or generated). A mapping between the first set of database tables and the second set of database tables may then be created. A column set may then be generated based on at least one condition of the set of queries. The column set may then be used as a key for the second set of database tables.
