  • Patent number: 5511995
Abstract: A connector includes a joint including a hollow plug with a first electrode formed on an internal surface and a second electrode formed on an external surface. The joint is connected with a transformer. A first housing defines a first hole, a second hole and a third hole for receiving the hollow plug of the joint. A first plug with a first electrode and a second electrode is insertable through the first hole defined in the first housing. A second plug with a first electrode and a second electrode is insertable through the second hole defined in the first housing. A metal pin is connected with the first electrodes of the first and second plugs. A first J-shaped metal strip includes a first end portion connected with the second electrode of the first plug and a second end portion engageable with the second electrode of the plug of the joint.

  • Patent number: 5320542
Abstract: A safety cover for sockets includes a cover body having a recess in a first side thereof and two spaced blades extending outward from the recess and being perpendicular to the cover body. The blades are adapted to engage with two slits of a socket. A clip extends from the cover body and pivotable at an end thereof adjacent to the cover body. The clip includes a pair of substantially L-shaped members each with a flexible distal end extending toward each other to define a passage having width slightly less than that of a wire of the plug, such that the safety cover clips on the wire of the plug when not in use. The distance between the L-shaped members is less than that between the blades. The cover body includes two cutouts to allow a pivotal movement of the L-shaped members into the recess. The recess has two spaced protrusions extending outward from a periphery thereof which is opposite to the cutouts to retain the L-shaped members when the clip is stored in the recess.

  • Patent number: 5301250
Abstract: An optical fiber connector has a tubular housing which has a slot formed through a corresponding upper periphery and lower periphery thereof. A securing plate is allowed to be positioned inside the slot with two distal ends thereof substantially protruding slightly out of the slot. A substantially elliptical hole is formed at the center of the plate with the longer axis thereof in substantially horizontal direction allowing to be penetrated by a fiber.

  • Patent number: 4927385
Abstract: A connector jack including a molded retainer, a conducting pin centrally located within the molded retainer, and a resilient clamping element. The molded retainer is a cylindrical body having a central recess at its front end for receiving an annular prong of a plug, two slots at its rear end thereof for receiving the resilient element, and a central stepped recess at its rear end and a perforation for receiving the conducting pin. The resilient clamping element has a conducting leg, a fixing leg and a T-shaped stem which connects the two legs. The two legs are insertable into the slots respectively. The conducting leg further includes a semicircular-shaped conducting end at its inner side which projects over the slot into the central recess.
